Thilini Jayasinghe
Thilini Sudhara Jayasinghe (Sinhalese: තිලිනි සුනාරි ජයසිංහ; Tamils: திலினி சுனாரி ஜயசிங்க; born 15 January 1985) is a Sri Lankan badminton player. Born in Peradeniya, Jayasinghe started playing badminton aged 9, and has joined the national team in 2000. She attended Mahamaya College and was named Best Sports Woman in 2004. In 2006 and 2010, she competed at the Asian and Commonwealth Games. Peradeniya
Peradeniya ( si, පේරාදෙණිය, translit=Pēradeniya; ta, பேராதனை, translit=Pērātaṉai) is a suburb of the city of Kandy, about 30,000 inhabitants in Sri Lanka. It is situated on the A1 main road, just a few kilometres west of Kandy city centre. Peradeniya is supposed to take its name from ''pera'' (guava) and ''deniya'' (a plain). Aparna Balan (born 9 August 1986) is an Indian badminton player from Kozhikode, Kerala. She was part of the national team that won the silver medal in 2010 Commonwealth Games, also gold medals in 2004, 2006 and 2010 South Asian Games. Chandrika de Silva (Sinhalese: චන්ද්රිකා ද සිල්වා; Tamils: சந்திரிகா த சில்வா; born 24 February 1974) also known as Renu Chandrika Hettiarachchige is a Sri Lankan badminton player. She represented her country at the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Commonwealth Games. Career She won the Sri Lanka national championships in 1997 to 2003 and regained the title back in 2005. In 2004, she won one silver and three bronze medals at the 2004 South Asian Games.
