Thierry Solère
Thierry Solère (born 17 August 1971) is a French politician who has served as the member of the National Assembly (France), National Assembly for the Hauts-de-Seine's 9th constituency, 9th constituency of Hauts-de-Seine from 2012 French legislative election, 2012 to 2022 French legislative election, 2022. He was a member of The Republicans (France), The Republicans (LR) until 2017, when he joined La République En Marche! (LREM). Political career Thierry Solère served as First Deputy Mayor of Boulogne-Billancourt, the most populous commune in Hauts-de-Seine, from 2008 to 2011 under Mayor Pierre-Christophe Baguet, whom he succeeded in Parliament. Édouard Charles Philippe (; born 28 November 1970) is a French politician serving as Mayor (France), mayor of Le Havre since 2020, previously holding the office from 2010 to 2017. The 2019 European Parliament election was held in the European Union (EU) between 23 and 26 May 2019. It was the ninth parliamentary election since the first direct elections in 1979. Gilles Boyer (born 4 July 1971) is a French politician of the Horizons party. He has served as a Member of the European Parliament since 2019 and was re-elected in 2024. Early life and education Born to two university professors, Boyer spent his childhood in Sèvres and in Ville-d'Avray in the Hauts-de-Seine region. The 15th legislature of the French Fifth Republic () was the French Parliament that was in office from 27 June 2017 (following the legislative elections on 11 and 18 June 2017) until 21 June 2022. Quaestor
A quaestor ( , ; ; "investigator") was a public official in ancient Rome. There were various types of quaestors, with the title used to describe greatly different offices at different times. In the Roman Republic, quaestors were elected officials who supervised the state treasury and conducted audits. When assigned to provincial governors, the duties were mainly administrative and logistical, but also could expand to encompass military leadership and command. It was the lowest ranking position in the ' (course of offices); by the first century BC, one had to have been quaestor to be eligible for any other posts. In the Roman Empire, the position initially remained as assistants to the magistrates with financial duties in the provinces, but over time, it faded away in the face of the expanding imperial bureaucracy.
