Thesprotiko
Thesprotiko (, "Thesprotian") is a village and a former municipality in the Preveza (regional unit), Preveza regional unit, Epirus (region), Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Ziros, Preveza, Ziros, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 131.823 km2. The village was known as Lelova (Λέλοβα) until April 1, 1927 when it adopted its current name. An independent community since 1919, Thesprotiko became a municipality in 1948. Rizovouni is a village and a community of Epirus in the municipality of Ziros, Preveza, Ziros in the Preveza (regional unit), Preveza regional unit. Its former name, ''Podogora'' (until 1927), is of Slavic languages, Slavic origin and means at the foot (or root) of the mountain. Preveza () is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the Epirus region. Its capital is the town of Preveza. Geography The regional unit of Preveza is located northwest of the Ambracian Gulf. The Ionian Sea lies to the west. The terrain is mostly hilly. The mountains of Xerovouni are in the far northeast. Filippiada () is a small town and a former municipality in the Preveza regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Ziros, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of . It has a population of 8,325 (2021 census). Geography The town of Filippiada is situated at the foot of low hills on the right bank of the river Louros. The northern part of the municipal unit is mountainous. Lakka Souliou
Lakka Souliou () is a former municipality in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Dodoni, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 158.578 km2. Its population was 1,897 according to the census of 2021. Lakka Souliou is a historical site in the wider area of Souli. History Ancient times Lakka Souliou has been inhabited since the Neolithic period, as it is testified by the fossils which were found in the region, like axes made of granite and flint, coppery and iron weapons, vessels of clay as well. Louros
Louros () is a town and a former municipality in the Preveza regional unit, Epirus, Greece. It was the center of a kaza of the Preveza Sanjak under the Ottoman Empire. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Preveza, of which it is a municipal unit. The seat of the municipality was the small town of Louros (pop. 1,769 in 2021). The area of the municipal unit is 176.075 km2, with a population of 4,581 people (2011). The town and municipal unit are named after the river Louros which flows just south of the town. Until recently, the Louros valley was swampy, but in modern times the marshes were drained and are now used for the production of olives, oranges, lemons and tomatoes.
