''There There'' is the second studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Megan Washington, the first crediting her full name. It was released in Australia on 12 September 2014. The album peaked at number 5 on the ARIA Charts. Background In August 2011, a year after the release of '' I Believe You Liar'', Washington moved to Brooklyn, following her dream to live in New York City. Washington said "I was dreadfully unhappy there. But having said that, I would have been dreadfully unhappy wherever I was. It was the result of a perfect storm of circumstances. I was just partying a lot and drinking a lot and going out and doing stuff. There was just no meaning. I couldn't find meaning in anything I was doing." As a result, Washington moved back to Australia. Megan Alexanda Washington (born 7 January 1986) is an Australian musician and songwriter who has worked mononymously as Washington. Originally performing jazz music, her style shifted to indie pop and alternative rock. She has released three studio albums, '' I Believe You Liar'' (July 2010), ''There There'' (September 2014) and ''Batflowers'' (August 2020). Both ''I Believe You Liar'' and ''There There'' reached the top 5 on the ARIA Albums Chart and ''Batflowers'' peaked in the top 25. Vinyl Record
A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English), or simply a record, is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove. The groove usually starts near the periphery and ends near the center of the disc. At first, the discs were commonly made from shellac, with earlier records having a fine abrasive filler mixed in. Starting in the 1940s polyvinyl chloride became common, hence the name vinyl. The phonograph record was the primary medium used for music reproduction throughout the 20th century. It had co-existed with the phonograph cylinder from the late 1880s and had effectively superseded it by around 1912. Records retained the largest market share even when new formats such as the compact cassette were mass-marketed. The compact disc (CD) is a digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. The iTunes Store is a digital media store operated by Apple Inc. It opened on April 28, 2003, as a result of Steve Jobs' push to open a digital marketplace for music. As of April 2020, iTunes offered 60 million songs, 2.2 million apps, 25,000 TV shows, and 65,000 films. When it opened, it was the only legal digital catalog of music to offer songs from all five major record labels. The iTunes Store is available on most Apple devices, including the Mac (inside the Music app), the iPhone, the iPad, the iPod touch, and the Apple TV, as well as on Windows (inside iTunes). Roxy Music are an English rock band formed in 1970 by Bryan Ferry—who became the band's lead vocalist and principal songwriter—and bassist Graham Simpson.
