Theodoros Zaras
Theodoros "Thodoris" Zaras (Greek: Θεόδωρος "Θοδωρής" Ζάρας; born August 12, 1987) is a Greek professional basketball player and the vice-captain for Lavrio of the Greek Basketball League (GBL). He is a 6 ft 5 in (1.97 m) tall swingman. During his pro career, Zaras has played in the top-tier domestic league, the Greek Basket League, as well as in both European-wide secondary leagues, the EuroCup Basketball, EuroCup and the FIBA Champions League. Youth career Zaras played youth sports club, club basketball with AO Stavroupolis, a team in western Thessaloniki, before he started his professional sports, pro career at the age of 18. FIBA Champions League
The Basketball Champions League (BCL), also commonly known as the FIBA Champions League, is an annual professional basketball competition for European clubs, organised by FIBA. It is the top-level competition organised by FIBA Europe, therefore the champion participates in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Clubs qualify for the competition mostly based on performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. Although exceptional, some teams can be wildcarded. Each season consists of 32 teams. Lavrio, Lavrion or Laurium (; (later ); from Middle Ages until 1908: Εργαστήρια ''Ergastiria'') is a town in southeastern part of Attica, Greece. It is part of Athens metropolitan area and the seat of the municipality of Lavreotiki. Kavala B.C. is a Greek professional basketball club that is located in Kavala, Greece. The club is also known as E.K. Kavalas, with the club's full name being Enosi Kalathosfairisis Kavalas, which means Kavala Basketball Union (). The club competes in the 2nd-tier level Greek A2 Basket League.
