Theo Vonk
Theo Vonk (born 16 December 1947) is a Dutch former football player and manager, most recently in charge of Gibraltar Premier Division side Glacis United, where he also served as technical director. Career Vonk was born in Uitgeest. He spent the majority of his playing career at AZ'67, playing for them as a central defender for ten years from 1968 to 1978, before spending a year at FC Volendam and subsequently retiring. After retiring from playing, he joined his boyhood club AZ'67 as assistant manager, spending five years at the club before moving to Sparta Rotterdam in 1984. After a successful two years at the club, during which he guided them to 4th in his first season, he moved to FC Twente, finishing third three times over six years. A disastrous spell in Spain with Real Burgos followed in 1992, after which he became something of a journeyman manager, aside from three years in charge of AZ. Uitgeest () is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. 1980–81 UEFA Cup
The 1980–81 UEFA Cup was the 10th edition of the UEFA Cup, the third-tier club football competition organised by UEFA. The final was played over two legs at Portman Road, Ipswich, England, and at the Olympic Stadium, Amsterdam, Netherlands. It was won by Ipswich Town of England, who defeated AZ Alkmaar of the Netherlands by an aggregate result of 5–4 to claim their only UEFA Cup title. This was the only European title for Ipswich Town, who never made it past a quarterfinal round before, and would never go beyond the third round in future competitions. As of 2024, this has been the only appearance in a major European final for both teams, which was also the case with the finalists of the European Cup Winners' Cup that season. The Eerste Divisie (; ) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship reasons, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. History The Eerste Divisie consists of 20 clubs, who play each other in a double round-robin league, with each club playing the other club home and away.
