Theodor Dan (born 26 December 2000) is an English professional rugby union player who plays as a hooker for Premiership Rugby club Saracens and the England national team. Early life Dan was born in London, England on Boxing Day 2000, to Romanian parents Octavian and Diana. Growing up in Herne Hill – interspersed with visits to Bucharest and Târgu Jiu – he began his rugby journey when he was five years old, playing for Blackheath until the age of seventeen. He was educated at Alleyn's School and currently studies at King's College London for a bachelor's degree in philosophy, politics and economics. During his youth, Dan played as a centre and wing, before being recruited into the academy at Saracens as a teenager. He credits his late grandfather Ion Dijmarescu, a professor of engineering who played as a tighthead prop in the Romanian first division, for instilling his love of the sport. National League 1
National One (last season known as National League 1 and previously known before September 2009 as National Division Two), is the third of three national leagues in the domestic rugby union competition of England. It was known as Courage League National Division Three when founded in 1987. Caldy are the current champions. The Rugby Football Union (RFU) approved a new structure for the National Leagues from the 2022–23 season. This division will be reduced to fourteen teams, playing each other on a home and away basis to make a total of 26 matches each. The champions are promoted to the RFU Championship and the bottom three teams are relegated to either National Two East, National Two North or National Two West depending on the geographical location of the team. Jamie Edward George (born 20 October 1990) is an English professional rugby union player who plays as a hooker for Premiership Rugby club Saracens and the England national team. Early life George played for local team Hertford Rugby Football Club in his youth, until he was asked to join the Saracens Academy. George was educated at Haileybury and Imperial Service College and captained the Haileybury 1st XV for two years, in Lower Sixth and Upper Sixth, while also being a regular for the 1st XV in Y11. Kelly Brown
Kelly Brown (born 8 June 1982) is a Scottish rugby union coach and former player. He won 64 caps for the Scotland national team, and played club rugby for Glasgow Warriors, Border Reivers and Saracens as a flanker. He retired from playing in 2017 to become a coach with Saracens' academy. Brown moved to an Assistant Coach position at Glasgow Warriors in 2020 before returning to Saracens in 2021. In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Players that play multiple positions are called "utility players". Forwards compete for the ball in scrums and Line-out (rugby union), line-outs and are generally bigger and stronger than the backs. Târgu Jiu () is the capital of Gorj County in the Oltenia region of Romania. It is situated on the Southern Sub-Carpathians, on the banks of the river Jiu.
