The Zone (Enter Shikari)
''The Zone'' is the first compilation album by British rock band Enter Shikari. It was announced on 1 October 2007 by one of the members of Ambush Reality and was released on 12 November 2007. The compilation features b-sides, demos and a remix by Rou's side-project, Routron 5000. The first few released have 2 hidden tracks, these were put on by mistake. Three tracks are from the BBC Radio 1 Zane Lowe Session performance. There is also a limited run of The Zone with only four tracks on it. Enter Shikari are a British Rock music, rock band formed in St Albans in 1999 by bassist Chris Batten, lead vocalist and keyboardist Rou Reynolds, and drummer Rob Rolfe. In 2003, guitarist Rory Clewlow joined the band to complete its current line-up, and it adopted its current name. In 2006, they performed to a growing fanbase at Download Festival as well as a sold-out concert at the London Astoria. Their debut studio album, ''Take to the Skies'', was released in 2007 and reached number 4 in the UK Albums Chart, Official UK Album Chart, and has since been certified gold in the UK. Background and recording Following the demise of Hybryd, Enter Shikari was formed with Rou Reynolds on vocals, Rory Clewlow on guitar, Chris Batten on bass, and Rob Rolfe on drums. In 2003 and 2004, the group self-released three EPs – ''Nodding Acquaintance'' (2003), ''Sorry You're Not a Winner'' (2004) and ''Anything Can Happen in the Next Half Hour'' (2004) – that they sold at shows and used to help grow their fan base. With an increasing touring schedule, the group began using social networking platform Myspace. In August, the band posted a demo version of "Labyrinth", followed by a demo of "OK, Time for Plan B" in September. Common Dreads
''Common Dreads'' is the second studio album by English rock band Enter Shikari, released on 15 June 2009 and 16 June in the US. Recording of the album took place in late 2008–2009. The album was produced and mixed by Andy Gray at Arreton Manor. Guitar production was carried out by Dan Weller of SikTh. Background and recording In late September 2008, the group uploaded themselves performing "Antwerpen". They said the track would be recorded for the next album, which was planned for release in early 2009. Between late September and early November, the group went a club tour in the UK. Towards the end of the tour, the group released a new track, " We Can Breathe in Space, They Just Don't Want Us to Escape", which had been produced by Andy Gray. Mothership (song)
"Mothership" is the first single by Enter Shikari. It was released as a digital download and a very limited run of 100 CD singles. It was released in August 2006. There was no vinyl released. It was available from their online store and from iTunes. It has been featured as single of the week on the iTunes Store. A video has been made for this single, which is viewable on the band's website. The song has since been re-recorded and was included on Enter Shikari's debut album, ''Take to the Skies''. When performed live, a set of dubstep intros, collectively known as "Motherstep," is sometimes played along with the song. A single of the "Motherstep" version of "Mothership," recorded in 2010 at the Hammersmith Apollo, was released as a single on 26 January 2011.
