''The Woman I Am'' is the eighth studio album by American singer Chaka Khan. It was released by Warner Bros. Records on April 14, 1992, in the United states. Dedicated to her friend Miles Davis, who had died the previous year, the album was Khan's first full-length project since 1988's ''CK (album), CK''. Khan worked with a variety of producers on the album, including multi-instrumentalist Marcus Miller, Scritti Politti's David Gamson as well as frequent collaborator Arif Mardin and his son Joe Mardin. The album received largely mixed reviews from music critics but became Khan's highest-charting album on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart since 1984's ''I Feel for You (album), I Feel for You''. ''The Woman I Am'' is the fourth studio album by American country music artist Kellie Pickler. It was released on November 11, 2013, through Black River Entertainment. The album includes the singles " Someone Somewhere Tonight," " Little Bit Gypsy," and "Closer to Nowhere." Content ''The Woman I Am'' was produced by Frank Liddell and Luke Wooten, the same team who produced Pickler's third album, '' 100 Proof''. The Weather Girls are an American female duo whose best-known line-up comprised Martha Wash and Izora Armstead. Formed in 1976 in San Francisco, California, Wash and Armstead began their musical careers as Two Tons O' Fun, the female backup duo for disco singer Sylvester. After several years of singing background for Sylvester, the duo was signed in 1979 to Fantasy Records as Two Tons O' Fun. The duo changed their name to The Weather Girls and were launched into somewhat more mainstream recognition following the release of the single, " It's Raining Men" (1982), which became their first number-one song on the US Dance Chart and their biggest hit. Cheryl Anne Norton (born October 13, 1958), better known by her stage name Cherrelle, is an American R&B singer and songwriter who gained fame in the mid-1980s. Helen Maxine Reddy (25 October 194129 September 2020) was an Australian-American singer, actress, television host, and activist. Born in Melbourne to a show business family, Reddy started her career as an entertainer at age four. She sang on radio and television and won a talent contest on the television program ''Bandstand (TV program), Bandstand'' in 1966; her prize was a ticket to New York City and a record audition, which was unsuccessful. After a short and unsuccessful singing career in New York, she eventually moved to Chicago, and subsequently, Los Angeles, where she made her debut singles "One Way Ticket (Stephen Lawrence song), One Way Ticket" and "I Believe in Music (song), I Believe in Music" in 1968 and 1970, respectively.
