The Warriors Gate
''The Warriors Gate'' (, also released as ''Enter the Warriors Gate'') is a 2016 Chinese-French action-adventure-fantasy film directed by Matthias Hoene and written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. It was released in China on November 18, 2016, in 2D, 3D and China Film Giant Screen 3D, and on video on demand in the United States on 5 May 2017. Plot Jack Bronson is a teenager who spends his free time playing warrior video games and working at a Chinese curios and antiques shop. His mother is trying to sell the house they live in before it goes into foreclosure. When Jack goes to a biking park, Travis, a neighborhood bully and his friends chase after him and he hides inside his bosses shop and helps out. A family heirloom, The Warriors Gate, from Mr Cheng's cousin in Beijing arrives at the shop and he gives it to Jack as a gift. Matthias Hoene
Matthias Hoene is a London and LA based filmmaker. He began with animated music videos, then commercials and short films, before getting into feature films and episodes of television series. His film ''Cockneys vs Zombies'' (2012) won multiple awards, while ''The Warriors Gate'' (2016) was an international fantasy action epic produced by Europacorp. His latest film '' Little Bone Lodge'' (2023) was a psychological thriller with a horror twist. Early life Matthias Hoene was born in Singapore. He grew up in Berlin, where his father was a scientist specializing in high-energy transmission tubes for lasers, and his mother was an alternative medicine enthusiast. Jinhua
Jinhua is a prefecture-level city in central Zhejiang province in eastern China. Hengdian World Studios () is a film studio located in Hengdian, a Chinese town in the city of Dongyang, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the largest film studios in the world. The movie studio is operated by the privately owned Hengdian Group founded by Xu Wenrong. Xu turned acres of farmland in central Zhejiang into one of the largest movie studios in Asia. Construction began in the mid-1990s and has been ongoing ever since with the possible recent addition of the replica of the Old Summer Palace.
