The Victim (2019 TV Series)
''The Victim'' is a four-part Scottish thriller miniseries starring Kelly Macdonald, James Harkness, John Hannah and John Scougall. The series was produced by STV Studios and first broadcast on BBC One television in April 2019. The series was shot on location in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Port Glasgow and Largs. Plot Bereaved mother Anna Dean, whose young son was murdered by an older boy 14 years prior, goes on trial for inciting murder after she is accused of posting online the new identity and address of the man she believes murdered her son: Craig Myers. Myers, a husband and father, was violently beaten and has had his reputation tarnished. The series revolves around the trial of the case, alongside its consequences for Myers' family and Dean's search to unmask the true identity of her son's killer. Rob Williams (British Screenwriter)
Rob Williams is a British screenwriter and producer, best known for the BBC1 crime drama '' The Victim''. Career Prior to his career in screenwriting, Williams worked in publishing. In 2008, he was awarded a place on the BBC Writer's Academy, a programme designed to train new writers for their long running television series. He went on to write for all four of the BBC's popular continuing dramas: ''Doctors'', ''EastEnders'', ''Casualty'' and its spinoff, ''Holby City''. Williams also wrote episodes of ''Killing Eve'', '' The Man in the High Castle'' and ''DCI Banks''. In 2014, ITV broadcast Williams' thriller '' Chasing Shadows''. Murder Of James Bulger
On 12 February 1993 in Merseyside, England, two 10-year-old boys, Robert Thompson and Jon Venables, abducted, tortured, and murdered a two-year-old boy, James Patrick Bulger (16 March 1990 – 12 February 1993). Thompson and Venables led Bulger away from the New Strand Shopping Centre in Bootle, where Bulger was visiting shops with his mother. His mutilated body was found on a railway line away in Walton, Liverpool, two days later. Thompson and Venables were charged on 20 February 1993 with abduction and murder. They were found guilty on 24 November, making them the youngest convicted murderers in modern British history. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review aggregator, review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang. Inverclyde (, , , "mouth of the Clyde") is one of 32 council areas used for local government in Scotland. Jamie Sives ( ; born 14 August 1973) is a Scottish actor. Sives was born in Lochend, Edinburgh. He studied at Leith Academy. Sives attended Leith Academy with future '' Guilt'' co-star Mark Bonnar. Largs
Largs () is a town on the Firth of Clyde in North Ayrshire, Scotland, about from Glasgow. The original name means "the slopes" (''An Leargaidh'') in Scottish Gaelic. A popular seaside resort with a pier, the town markets itself on its historic links with the Vikings and an annual festival is held each year in early September.
