The album features 10 remastered, remixed or re-recorded ballads from the band's catalogue. The release was supported with a few shows in the United Kingdom and Ireland before the release date, and a tour in Switzerland and Germany from March 30. Magnum (band)
Magnum are an English melodic hard rock band. They were formed in Birmingham in 1972 by Tony Clarkin (guitar, songwriter, producer) and Bob Catley (vocals) in order to appear as the resident band at the Rum Runner nightclub in the city. Magnum have undergone several changes in personnel over the years; however, the core of Catley and Clarkin remained until Clarkin's death in 2024. Magnum's most significant early success was '' Chase the Dragon'' in 1982, which reached number 17 in the UK Albums Chart. It included several songs that would become mainstays of the band's live set, notably "Soldier of the Line", "Sacred Hour" and "The Spirit". Tony Clarkin
Anthony Michael Clarkin (24 November 1946 – 7 January 2024) was an English musician, best known as the guitarist of the rock band Magnum (band), Magnum. He was the sole songwriter throughout Magnum's history, writing all of the material on their Magnum discography, 23 studio albums as well as on two studio albums by Magnum spin-off group Hard Rain (band), Hard Rain. He also produced most of Magnum's albums. ''Sacred Blood "Divine" Lies'' is the 19th studio album by the British rock band Magnum. The album was released on 26 February 2016. It is the last studio album of original material to feature longtime keyboardist Mark Stanway, who left the band in December 2016. The cover was painted by Rodney Matthews. The album entered the charts at number 31 in the United Kingdom, the highest chart position there since 1992's ''Sleepwalking''. * Below top 100: Compared to the previous album '' Escape from the Shadow Garden'', the album went slightly back in the European charts, charting 20 in Germany, 23 in Sweden, and 26 in Switzerland. The album also became the first Magnum record to chart in Austria, peaking at 57. Lost On The Road To Eternity
''Lost on the Road to Eternity'' is the 20th studio album by the British rock band Magnum. The album was released on 19 January 2018. It is the group's first album to feature Lee Morris on drums and Rick Benton on keyboards. It is also the longest studio album the band has released to date (not counting bonus tracks). The album features Tobias Sammet on the title track, an artistic thank you by the Avantasia frontman for Bob Catley's numerous guest appearances on his albums. It was the last studio album by Magnum to feature bassist Al Barrow, as he retired from the band a year and a half after the album's release. The cover was painted by Rodney Matthews, and features almost every character from ''The Wizard of Oz'' and Lewis Carroll's ''Alice's Adventures in Wonderland''. Commercially, ''Lost on the Road to Eternity'' became one of the most successful Magnum albums to date, and it was well-received by critics across Europe.

Robert Adrian Catley (born 11 September 1947) is an English singer. He is the lead singer of the hard rock band Magnum and is also active as a solo artist. Biography Early years (1947–1972) Born in Aldershot on 11 September 1947, Catley's family moved to the Tile Cross area of Birmingham when he was young. He went on to attend the nearby Central Grammar School for Boys (Birmingham) and left to start an apprenticeship at the GPO before deciding on a musical career shortly after meeting similarly minded individuals at college. Al Barrow
Al Barrow (born 1968) is an English bassist best known as the former member of the hard rock band Magnum. Biography Barrow joined Magnum in 2001 after he was a member of Hard Rain, a group formed by Magnum members, Bob Catley and Tony Clarkin, while activities around Magnum was set on pause. Officially the band ended, but made a comeback in 2001 with their album '' Breath of Life''. Barrow not only plays bass guitar, but also has an interest in design and photography. With his company Generic Designs, he has designed album covers for Magnum and several other artists worldwide. Mark Stanway (born 27 July 1954) is an English musician. He was the keyboard player for the hard rock band Magnum from 1980 until the end of 2016. Career Stanway first appeared with Magnum on the 1980 recording of '' Chase the Dragon'' (released in 1982) Stanway provided keyboards on every studio album release from 1980 until his departure in 2016 (19 studio albums) After a short stint with Stampede, Stanway formed Grand Slam with Phil Lynott after a Lynott solo tour in Sweden in mid 1983, this band was with Lynott on bass, Stanway on keyboards, John Sykes on guitar, Brian Downey on drums and Doish Nagle on rhythm guitar, which evolved into Grand Slam in 1984. Gary Harry James (born 14 December 1960), popularly known as 'Harry' James, is an English drummer best known for his work with hard rock bands Thunder (band), Thunder and Magnum (band), Magnum.
