''The Tromaville Café'' is a television program broadcast by the BBC in the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2000 that ran Troma films. The show featured Lloyd Kaufman as himself, different actors portraying Toxie, Paul Kyrmse as Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., Stephen Blackehart as Felix the French Trickster, and scantily clad Tromettes (Debbie Rochon, Stephanie Stokes, Tiffany Shepis, etc.) playing waitress/action news reporters. Troma
Troma Entertainment is an American independent film production and distribution company founded by Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz in 1974. They are the longest running independent film studio in the world. The company produces low-budget independent films, or " B movies", primarily of the horror comedy genre, all geared exclusively to mature audiences. Lloyd Kaufman
Stanley Lloyd Kaufman Jr. (born December 30, 1945) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. Alongside producer Michael Herz, he is the co-founder of Troma Entertainment film studio, and the director of many of their feature films, such as '' The Toxic Avenger'' (1984) and '' Tromeo and Juliet'' (1996). Many of the strategies employed by him at Troma have been credited with making the film industry significantly more accessible and decentralized. ''The Toxic Avenger'' is a 1984 American superhero black comedy splatter film produced and directed by Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman (the latter credited as Samuel Weil for directing) from a screenplay by Joe Ritter, based on a story by Kaufman. Stephen T. Blackehart (born December 1, 1967) is an American character actor, author, and producer. Education Blackehart began his artistic education at the University of South Florida under BAFTA-winning character actor Paul Massie, before moving overseas to attend the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. While at LAMDA, in addition to the normal study-and-performance curriculum, Blackehart studied swordsmanship under renowned fight masters Rodney Cottier and John Waller, and went on to attain an advanced certification from the Society of British Fight Directors (now called the BASSC). Debbie Ann Rochon (born November 3) is a Canadian actress and former stage performer, best known for her work in independent film and counterculture films. Early life When Rochon was ten years old, her parents were deemed unfit to raise her, and she was remanded to foster care. Shuttled from one foster home to the next, Rochon ran away to Vancouver. With the director and actor Lloyd Kaufman, the two are the co-founders of Troma Entertainment, the world's longest running independent film studio, known for their comedic horror films, including the cult '' Toxic Avenger'' series and ''Tromeo and Juliet''.
