The Travel Show (TV Series)
''The Travel Show'' is an international feed of BBC News channel travel programme. The new programme launched on 27 April 2013 and has the same programme title as a 1990s holiday programme broadcast on BBC Two. Using a network of correspondents in London, Tokyo, Sydney, New York and Kuala Lumpur, the programme aims to provide unique insight into the world of travel. It first aired in the UK in late February, after Winter Olympics coverage, in a Friday morning slot on BBC Two. BBC News is an operational business division of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) responsible for the gathering and broadcasting of news and current affairs in the UK and around the world. BBC iPlayer (stylised as iPLAYER or BBC iPLAYER) is a video on demand service from the BBC. The service is available Over-the-top media service, over-the-top on a wide range of devices, including Mobile phone, mobile phones and Tablet computer, tablets, personal computers and smart televisions. iPlayer services delivered to UK-based viewers are free from commercial advertising. To use the service, a valid Television licensing in the United Kingdom, TV Licence is required by law. The terms BBC iPlayer, iPlayer, and BBC Media Player refer to various methods of viewing or listening to the same content. BBC iPlayer launched in 2007. Ade Adepitan
Adedoyin Olayiwola "Ade" Adepitan (; born 27 March 1973) is a Nigerian-born British television presenter and wheelchair basketball player. As a presenter, he has hosted a range of travel documentaries and sports programmes for BBC television. Adepitan is a disability advocate and one of the first physically disabled television presenters in the UK, with a career of over 20 years. Adepitan was born in Lagos. As an infant he contracted polio, which caused damage to his legs that required him to use a wheelchair. At the age of three, he moved with his family to the United Kingdom, where he grew up in East London. Fast Track is a 30-minute travel news TV show which was broadcast on BBC World News. Individual segments were also broadcast on BBC News (British TV channel), BBC News Channel. Presenters The programme was presented originally by Gwenan Edwards, then Rajan Datar and Fiona Foster. There were also regular segments including Widget of the Week, Events and the Best of the Web. BBC Two
BBC Two is a British free-to-air Public service broadcasting in the United Kingdom, public broadcast television channel owned and operated by the BBC.
