The Transformers (IDW Publishing)
''The Transformers'' (later retitled as ''Transformers'') is a comic book line by IDW Publishing based upon Hasbro's Transformers characters and toy line, featuring many writers and artists across multiple series. It is notable for being the longest continuously running ''Transformers'' continuity to date, beginning in October 2005 with '' The Transformers: Infiltration'' and ending in November 2018, after the six-issue '' Unicron'' event comic. The following year, it would be rebooted and succeeded by a new comic book series on 2019. IDW lost the license rights by the end of 2022 and the license was passed to Skybound Entertainment in 2023. Don Figueroa
Don Allan Figueroa is a Filipino American comic book artist and toy designer. He is best known for his work on many different Transformers designs, for both the defunct Dreamwave Productions and with IDW Publishing. Dreamwave Productions One of Figueroa's projects was to illustrate Dreamwave's first '' Transformers: The War Within'' miniseries. In the series, Figueroa was tasked to design new alternate modes for the Generation 1 Transformers, based on the fact that the series is set long before their arrival on Earth. The ''Transformers: Titanium'' line of die-cast toys was based on this series. Figueroa was later brought on to pencil the "Worlds Collide" story arc on the '' Transformers: Armada'' comic book series, which featured some G1 Decepticons. ''Transformers: Generation 1'' (also known as ''Generation One'' or ''G1'') is a toy line from 1984 to 1990, produced by Hasbro and Takara Tomy. Inaugurating the successful ''Transformers'' toy and entertainment franchise, the line of toy robots could change into an alternate form (vehicles such as cars and planes, miniature guns or cassettes, animals, and even dinosaurs) by moving parts into other places. Stormbringer is a magic sword featured in a number of fantasy stories by the author Michael Moorcock. It is described as a huge, black sword covered with strange runes, created by the forces of Chaos. The sword has a will of its own and it is hinted that the sword may be controlled by an inhabiting entity. It is wielded by the doomed albino emperor Elric of Melniboné. Megatron (Transformers)
Megatron is a fictional character and the main antagonist of the ''Transformers'' media franchise produced by the American toy company Hasbro and the Japanese toy company Takara Tomy. He is the tyrannical leader of the Decepticons, a villainous faction of alien robots that seeks to conquer their home planet of Cybertron and the rest of the known universe, and serves as the archenemy of Optimus Prime, the leader of the rival Autobot faction. Optimus Prime
Optimus Prime, also known in Japan as is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the ''Transformers'' franchise. Generally depicted as a brave and noble leader, Optimus Prime is the supreme commander of the Autobots in their fight against the Decepticons. The ''Transformers'' characters were developed for the American market after Hasbro representatives visited the 1983 Tokyo Toy Show. Real time within the media is a method in which events are portrayed at the same rate at which they occur in the plot. For example, if a film told in real time is two hours long, then the plot of that movie covers two hours of fictional time.
