''The Torture Technique'' is the second studio album by Sister Machine Gun, released on March 15, 1994 by TVT and Wax Trax! Records. The album spent eight weeks on the CMJ Radio Top 150 peaking at #46, and nine weeks on the CMJ RPM Charts peaking at #10. Reception Vincent Jeffries of allmusic gave ''The Torture Technique'' a one and a half out of five stars, saying "to Chris Randall's credit, he expands his programming skills ("Salvation," "Brother Bomb") and vocal performances ("Cocaine Jesus") enough to mimic industrial rock success stories Ministry and White Zombie, instead of exclusively copying Nine Inch Nails." He concluded by saying, "''The Torture Technique'' isn't as dry or repetitive as Sister Machine Gun's first release, but Randall's marginal improvements aren't enough to warrant a recommendation." Sister Machine Gun
Sister Machine Gun is an American industrial rock band originally based in Chicago, Illinois. History The early years Sister Machine Gun was formed by Chris Randall and Guilherme Machado in New York City. They performed at New Jersey's Pipeline, and New York's Limelight. The band went on a short hiatus after Chris Randall joined KMFDM's tour as a stage technician. After the tour, Randall left New York City and relocated to Chicago. He then found work in the mailroom of Wax Trax! Records, and began recording a demo with Jim Marcus and Van Christie of Die Warzau. The rough demo was given to Sascha Konietzko of KMFDM for mixing. Konietzko passed the demo along to Jim Nash, head of Wax Trax! Records, where Randall worked. The label then signed the band to a record deal. James Woolley
Woolley in the 90's. James Joseph Woolley (September 26, 1966 – August 14, 2016) was an American keyboard and synthesizer player, best known for performing with industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails during the 1991 Lollapalooza Tour and the beginning part of the 1994 Self Destruct Tour. Woolley also appeared in the videos for "Wish" and "March of the Pigs", as well as parts of the Nine Inch Nails release '' Closure'' (1997). Woolley won a Grammy Award in 1993 for "Best Metal Performance" for "Wish". Prior to Nine Inch Nails, Woolley was a major collaborator along with former NIN drummer Chris Vrenna to Chicago band Die Warzau. Sound recording and reproduction is the electrical, mechanical, electronic, or digital inscription and re-creation of sound waves, such as spoken voice, singing, instrumental music, or sound effects. The two main classes of sound recording technology are analog recording and digital recording. Nicklaus Schandelmaier, (born 23 March 1968) is a German musician, better known by his stage name En Esch, and has been a member of the bands KMFDM, Pigface, Slick Idiot, and .
