''The TimesGazette'' is a daily newspaper published weekdays and Saturdays in Hillsboro, Ohio. It is owned by AIM Media Midwest, a subsidiary of AIM Media Management. Published as a daily since October 1, 1973 (when it was called the ''Hillsboro Press Gazette''), ''The Times-Gazette'' traces its history back to a long succession of weekly newspapers covering Hillsboro and Highland County, Ohio, starting with the ''Hillsborough Gazette, and Highland Advertiser'', in 1818. In February 1928 the ''Press Gazette'' began circulation when ''The Hillsboro Gazette'' and ''The People's Press'' merged. Gary Abernathy
Gary Abernathy (born 1956) is an American political commentator who writes a nationally syndicated column for ''The Washington Post'' and makes frequent appearances on the ''PBS NewsHour''. A former newspaper editor and state Republican Party official, he is noted for his politically conservative views from a rural perspective. Freedom Communications, Inc. was an American media conglomerate that operated daily and weekly newspapers, websites and mobile applications and television stations, as well as ''Coast Magazine'' and other specialty publications. Headquartered at 625 N. Grand Avenue in Santa Ana, California, it was owned by a private equity firm, 2100 Trust, established in 2010 by investor Aaron Kushner. Brown Publishing Company was a privately owned Cincinnati, Ohio, newspaper business started by Congressman Clarence J. Brown in Blanchester, Ohio in 1920. It ended 90 years of operations in August/September 2010 with its bankruptcy and sale of assets to a new company formed by its creditors and called Ohio Community Media Inc.
