The Superman Monster
''The Superman Monster'' is a DC Comics ''Elseworlds'' comic book, published in 1999. The story combined the elements of the Superman mythos with Mary Shelley's novel ''Frankenstein'' where that version of Superman is similar to the Frankenstein Monster. Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, with art by Anthony Williams and Tom Palmer, ''The Superman Monster'' is the sequel to the DC Comics ''Elseworlds'' comic book '' Batman: Two Faces''. Anthony Williams (comics)
Anthony Williams is a Welsh comic book artist. Biography He broke into comics at Marvel UK, drawing for the series ''Action Force,'' ''The Real Ghostbusters'' and ''The Transformers (Marvel Comics), Transformers'', among others. Ingolstadt (; Austro-Bavarian language, Austro-Bavarian: ) is an Independent city#Germany, independent city on the Danube, in Upper Bavaria, with 142,308 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2023). Frankenstein In Popular Culture
Mary Shelley's 1818 novel '' Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus'', and the famous character of Frankenstein's monster, have influenced popular culture for at least a century. The work has inspired numerous films, television programs, video games and derivative works. The character of the Monster remains one of the most recognized icons in horror fiction. Film derivatives Silent era The first film adaptation of the tale, ''Frankenstein'', was made by Edison Studios in 1910, written and directed by J. Hypothermia
Hypothermia is defined as a body core temperature below in humans. Symptoms depend on the temperature. In mild hypothermia, there is shivering and mental confusion. In moderate hypothermia, shivering stops and confusion increases. In severe hypothermia, there may be hallucinations and paradoxical undressing, in which a person removes their clothing, as well as an increased risk of the heart stopping. Hypothermia has two main types of causes. It classically occurs from exposure to cold weather and cold water immersion. It may also occur from any condition that decreases heat production or increases heat loss. The Fortress of Solitude is a fictional fortress appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with Superman. It is the place where Superman first learned about his true identity, heritage, and purpose on Earth. The fortress functions as a place of solace/occasional headquarters for Superman and is typically depicted as being in frozen tundra, away from civilization.
