''The Steph Show'' is an Australian reality television series starring singer and actress Stephanie McIntosh. The show premiered on Australian TV at 6pm 28 July 2006 on Network Ten. The show, in the same vein as ''The Ashlee Simpson Show'', had cameras following McIntosh as she recorded her debut album ''Tightrope'' which was released on 9 September 2006. The first single "Mistake" was released the day after the season premiere. The theme song is "Tightrope" by Stephanie McIntosh. The last episode is to coincide with the release of "Tightrope Tightrope walking, also called funambulism, is the skill of walking along a thin wire or rope. Stephanie McIntosh (born 5 July 1985) is an Australian actress and singer. She played the role of Sky Mangel in the Australian soap opera '' Neighbours'' from 2003 to 2007. She made a brief appearance for one episode in 2015 as part of the show's 30th anniversary celebrations, and returned again in 2020 as part of the shows 35th anniversary episodes, and a cameo appearance in 2022. As a singer, she released her debut album, ''Tightrope'', in September 2006. It peaked at No. 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Early life and education Stephanie McIntosh was born on 5 July 1985 and grew up in Malvern, Victoria. Her father is John McIntosh and her mother is Sue McIntosh (née Menlove), a former TV actress and ABC newsreader. McIntosh has two older sisters, Katherine and Olivia. The first season, taped from late 2003 to mid-2004, focused on the beginnings of her career as a singer and the recording of her debut album, ''Autobiography''. ''Tightrope'' is the debut album from Australian pop singer Stephanie McIntosh, which was released on 11 September 2006, and re-released on 19 March 2007. It was released to the UK on 20 August 2007 with an alternate track listing and cover, but some Australian editions of the album have been seen in UK music stores such as HMV. History McIntosh worked on her debut album with award-winning songwriter/producer Tom Nichols, who has written and produced songs for the likes of Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Alistair Griffin, Kylie Minogue, S Club 7 and Atomic Kitten. "Mistake" is a song by Australian actress Stephanie McIntosh. It was released as the first single from her debut album, ''Tightrope'', on 31 July 2006. "Mistake" was written by Tom Nichols, Rami, and Arnthor Birgisson and produced by the latter two at Maratonem with mixing handled by Niklas Flycht. The original title for "Mistake" was "Another Mistake". "Mistake" was released as the debut single from ''Tightrope'' in the UK and Ireland, where it was released on 25 June 2007 with McIntosh promoting the album there in June 2007. "Tightrope" is the second single from singer and actress, Stephanie McIntosh from the album of the same title, ''Tightrope''. "Tightrope" was confirmed as the second single on The Steph Show. It was released on 21 October 2006 in Australia only, as due to poor sales of the album. Included with the single release are a set of free Habbo Hotel stickers. Music video Tightrope was filmed in the second last week of August at Fox Studios in Sydney. It was directed by Anthony Rose who also directed "Mistake". The Steph Show had an exclusive behind the scenes preview of the video, and the video itself, which was aired on 15 September 2006. The video begins with McIntosh in a bed, in a New York style apartment. She then looks out the window, and sees a man in the opposite apartment, and opens the window.
