The Star Trek Star Fleet Technical Manual
The ''Star Trek Star Fleet Technical Manual'' (, Ballantine Books 1975, reprinted 1986, 1996, 2006) is a fiction reference book by Franz Joseph Schnaubelt, about the workings of Starfleet, a military, exploratory, and diplomatic organization featured in the television series ''Star Trek''. Although it is fiction, the book is presented as an in-universe collection of factual documents, describing the 23rd century Starfleet and United Federation of Planets, and it is described as having been accidentally sent from the future to the 20th century—specifically, when as described in "Tomorrow Is Yesterday", the starship USS ''Enterprise'' was accidentally propelled back in time in a freak mishap, causing the manual's contents to be accidentally downloaded into the main computers of the now-closed Omaha Air Force Station. Contents The book provides some detail on the workings of technology used in the original series, including its ships, phasers, tricorders, universal translato ...

Franz Joseph (artist)
Franz Joseph (born Franz Anton Joseph Schnaubelt; June 29, 1914 – June 2, 1994) was an artist and author loosely associated with the 1960s American television show ''Star Trek''. Career Born in Chicago, Franz Joseph had a successful 30-year career as an aerospace design engineer. However, he is perhaps best known as the author and illustrator of '' Star Fleet Technical Manual'' (), which, though fictional, represents an in-universe collection of factual documents, detailing the 23rd century Star Fleet of the United Federation of Planets, as well as the function of the Starship ''U.S.S. Enterprise'' relative to the other starships in the fleet. The book contains information about uniforms (complete with sewing patterns), furniture, weapons, devices, protocols, and other minutiae from the ''Star Trek'' universe. Franz Joseph is also the author and illustrator of another in-universe document, ''Booklet of General Plans of the USS Enterprise'' (, unofficially known as the ''Star Tr ...

Lincoln Enterprises
Lincoln Enterprises, formerly Star Trek Enterprises, was a mail-order company set up by Bjo Trimble and Gene Roddenberry to sell merchandise related to the American science fiction television series ''Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek''. It was known for selling official scripts and film cells directly from Desilu Productions during the run of the series. It later expanded into general ''Star Trek'' merchandise under Majel Barrett, and has since been subsumed into Roddenberry.com. History Following the Star Trek: The Original Series (season 2), second season of the original ''Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek'' series, fan Bjo Trimble led efforts in 1967 to ensure that the show was renewed for a Star Trek: The Original Series (season 3), third season. Part of this effort was the creation of Star Trek Enterprises, in conjunction between Trimble and the show's creator, Gene Roddenberry. Through the help of Roddenberry, the company sold mail order ''Star Trek'' merchan ...

Timeline Of Star Trek
This article discusses the fictional timeline of the ''Star Trek'' franchise. The franchise is primarily set in the future, ranging from the mid-22nd century ('' Star Trek: Enterprise'') to the late 24th century ('' Star Trek: Picard''), with the third season of '' Star Trek: Discovery'' jumping forward to the 32nd century. However the franchise has also outlined a fictional future history of Earth prior to this, and, primarily through time travel plots, explored both past and further-future settings. The chronology is complicated by the presence of divergent timelines within the franchise's narrative, as well as internal contradictions and retcons. The original series generally avoided assigning real-world dates to its futuristic setting, instead using the stardate system. Series from '' Star Trek: The Next Generation'' onwards defined their temporal settings in conventional form. Series, books, and film settings This table shows each TV series and movie, its year of release o ...

Star Fleet Battles
''Star Fleet Battles'' (SFB) is a Military tactics, tactical board wargame set in an offshoot of the ''Star Trek'' setting called the Star Fleet Universe. Originally created in 1979 by Stephen V. Cole, it has had four major editions. The current edition is published by Amarillo Design Bureau as ''Star Fleet Battles, Captain's Edition''. ''Star Fleet Battles'' is a ship-to-ship warfare simulation game, which uses cardboard Counter (board wargames), counters to represent the ships, shuttles, seeking weapons, terrain, and information on a hexagonal map. It is a game system for two or more players (there are some solitaire scenarios). Typically, a player will have one ship in a game, though they can control an entire fleet, if they can keep track of the paperwork and options involved; multiple players can play as teams, with each team splitting up the work of running a squadron or fleet, or a 'free-for-all' fight can be run. Ships represented in the game are typically starships from ...

Klingon
The Klingons ( ; Klingon language, Klingon: ''tlhIngan'' ) are a humanoid species of aliens in the science fiction franchise ''Star Trek''. Developed by screenwriter Gene L. Coon in 1967 for the Star Trek: The Original Series, original ''Star Trek'' (''TOS'') series, Klingons were humanoids characterized by prideful ruthlessness and brutality. Hailing from their homeworld ''Qo'noS'' (pronounced approximately as /kho-nosh/, but usually rendered as /kronos/ in English), Klingons practiced feudalism and authoritarianism, with a warrior caste relying on slave labor and reminiscent of Ancient Sparta. With a greatly expanded budget for makeup and effects, the Klingons were completely redesigned for ''Star Trek: The Motion Picture'' (1979), acquiring ridged foreheads. In subsequent television series and in later films, the militaristic traits of the Klingons were bolstered by an increased sense of honor and a strict warrior code similar to those of ''bushido'', and a view of the afterli ...
