The Specialists (TV Series)
''The Specialists'' is an animated television series that appeared on the second season of MTV's '' Liquid Television'' in 1992. It was created and directed by Joe Horne, creator of the previous MTV series Stevie and Zoya and a director on '' The Boondocks''. Overview The plot revolved around three detectives for hire: the group's leader Mastermind, who wore a white Nehru jacket and as his name implied was the brains of the operation; Kittka, a female escape artist who wore a skintight blue tuxedo and had blue hair and skin; and Samson, a large, muscular man in a black suit. Their many foes during the 10 three-minute episodes included an evil crime clown, an intergalactic poodle conspiracy, an evil genius (and rival of Mastermind's) named Dr. Raoul Dendrite and his schoolgirl-uniformed assistant Delilah, and Negator, who subdued his opponents with a highly sarcastic wit (and aided by a Don Rickles mask). John David Wilson
John David Wilson (8 August 1919 – 20 June 2013) was an English artist, animator and producer. He owned his own production studio, Fine Arts Films. Early years Wilson was born on 8 August 1919 in Wimbledon, England. He was educated at the Watford Grammar School for Boys, Harrow Art School and the Royal College of Art; among his teachers was Robin Darwin. World War II During World War II, Wilson served with the London Rifle Brigade. He was badly wounded in the African Campaign in 1941; while recuperating in Cairo he spent time drawing cartoons. Some of these were brought to the attention of a printer in Durban who offered him a job; due to the seriousness of his injury he was discharged from the army and accepted the job. Death He died in Blackpool, England in 2013. In his last years, he had suffered from Alzheimer's disease. Alwyn Walter "Walt" Peregoy (November 17, 1925 – January 16, 2015) was an American artist who was a color stylist and background artist for animated cartoons.
