The Someloves
The Someloves were an alternative rock band from Perth, Western Australia which formed in 1986. They were led by Dom Mariani (also a member of The Stems), on guitar and lead vocals; and Darryl Mather (ex- The Lime Spiders) on lead guitar. The group's sole album, ''Something or Other'', was released in April 1990 and reached the Top 100 on the ARIA Albums Chart. They were noted for their 1980s power-pop underground style. Various personal issues and problems with the idea of touring led to the group disbanding by the end of 1990. Biography The Someloves were led by Dom Mariani and Darryl Mather each of whom was also in two other Australian garage bands, The Stems and The Lime Spiders. Half A Cow is an independent record label from Australia, established in 1990 in music, 1990 by Sydney musician and music identity Nic Dalton. History In 1985 - 1989 Dalton ran a bookshop (owned by Dalton's parents) in the Sydney suburb of Glebe, New South Wales, Glebe called Dalton's Books. The dB's are an American alternative rock and power pop group, who formed in New York City in 1978 and first came to prominence in the early 1980s. Their debut album ''Stands for Decibels'' is acclaimed as one of the great "lost" power pop albums of the 1980s. The band members are Peter Holsapple, Chris Stamey, Will Rigby, and Gene Holder. Although the members are all from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the group was formed in New York City in 1978. In 2012, the band completed its first new studio album in 25 years and its first in 30 years with the original lineup. Let's Active was an American rock music, rock group formed in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in 1981, and often identified with the jangle pop guitar work of the group's frontman and songwriter Mitch Easter. After disbanding in 1990, the group reformed in August 2014 to play a benefit show in North Carolina. Mitch Easter
Mitchell Blake Easter (born November 15, 1954) is a musician, songwriter, and record producer. Frequently associated with the jangle pop style of guitar music, he is known as producer of R.E.M.'s early albums from 1981 through 1984, and as frontman of the 1980s band Let's Active. Early life Easter was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to Ken and Elizabeth (Lib), and became deeply involved in music from an early age. He attended Richard J. Reynolds High School and went on to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, from 1974 until his graduation in 1978. He played in a number of school bands, including the Loyal Opposition, the Imperturbable Teutonic Gryphon and Sacred Irony, some of them with his childhood friend Chris Stamey (later of The dB's). Leukemia ( also spelled leukaemia; pronounced ) is a group of blood cancers that usually begin in the bone marrow and produce high numbers of abnormal blood cells.
