Eric Dwayne Collins (born October 8, 1967) better known by his stage name RBX (standing for "Reality Born Unknown"), is an American rapper from Long Beach, California. Early life and education Collins was born and raised in Long Beach, California. After graduating Long Beach Polytechnical High School in 1985, he received a scholarship to play college football for UNLV, alongside future Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight. His football career was cut short after sustaining a torn ACL, which helped push him to pursue a career in music. Contrary to popular belief, Collins is not related to funk legend Bootsy Collins, although the two are close friends. Career 1992–1995: Death Row Records RBX joined Death Row Records in 1992 with his cousins Snoop Dogg and Daz Dillinger. Louis Mario Freese (born June 2, 1970), known by his stage name B-Real, is an American rapper. Since 1991, he has been one of two lead rappers in the hip hop group Cypress Hill, along with Sen Dog. He has also been a part of the rap metal band Kush (2000–2002), the hip hop supergroup Serial Killers (2013–present) and the rap rock supergroup Prophets of Rage (2016–2019). Lawrence "Kris" Parker (born August 20, 1965), better known by his stage names KRS-One (; an abbreviation of "Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everyone") and Teacha, is an American rapper from the Bronx. Eric Lynn Wright (September 7, 1964 – March 26, 1995), known professionally as Eazy-E, was an American rapper who propelled West Coast rap and gangsta rap by leading the group N.W.A and its label, Ruthless Records. Gerald Elliot Heller (October 6, 1940 – September 2, 2016) was an American music manager and businessman. He was best known for his management of West Coast rap and gangsta rap pioneers N.W.A and Eazy-E. He rose to prominence in the 1960s and 1970s representing Journey, Marvin Gaye, Van Morrison, War, Eric Burdon, Crosby Stills & Nash, Ike & Tina Turner, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Otis Redding, the Who, REO Speedwagon, Black Sabbath, Humble Pie, Styx, the Grass Roots, and the Standells, among many others. G-Funk
G-funk, short for gangsta funk, (or funk rap) is a sub-genre of gangsta rap that emerged from the West Coast scene in the early 1990s. The genre is heavily influenced by the synthesizer-heavy 1970s funk sound of Parliament-Funkadelic (aka P-Funk), often incorporated through samples or re-recordings. It is represented by commercially successful albums such as Dr. Dre's '' The Chronic'' (1992), Snoop Dogg's '' Doggystyle'' (1993), and 2Pac's '' All Eyez on Me'' (1996).
