''The Saturday Paper'' is an Australian weekly newspaper, launched on 1 March 2014 in hard copy, as an online newspaper and in mobile news format. The paper is circulated throughout Australian capital cities and major regional centres. Since its launch ''The Saturday Paper'' has maintained a focus on long-form journalism and in-depth coverage of current affairs, arts and Australian politics. Publication ''The Saturday Paper'' is published by Morry Schwartz via Schwartz Media, which also publishes books via Black Inc, the magazine ''The Monthly'' and the '' Quarterly Essay''. Upon its launch, Schwartz stated he expected ''The Saturday Paper'' to be profitable within several years, and the paper should sell "between 60,000 and 80,000 copies a week". Behrouz Boochani
Behrouz Boochani (; born 23 July 1983) is a Iranian Kurdistan, Kurdish-Iranian journalist, human rights defender, writer and film producer living in New Zealand. He was held in the Australian-run Manus Regional Processing Centre, Manus Island detention centre in Papua New Guinea from 2013 until its closure in 2017. He remained on the island before being moved to Port Moresby along with the other detainees around September 2019. John Hewson
John Robert Hewson AM (born 28 October 1946) is an Australian former politician who served as leader of the Liberal Party from 1990 to 1994. He led the Liberal-National Coalition to defeat at the 1993 Australian federal election. Hewson was born in Sydney, New South Wales, and earned a PhD in Economics from Johns Hopkins University. He has also attained degrees from the University of Sydney and the University of Regina. Paul Damian Bongiorno (born 1944) is an Australian political journalist and commentator. Personal life Bongiorno grew up in Ballarat, Victoria, and was educated by the Christian Brothers at St Patrick's College and Drummond Street in Ballarat.
