''The Richard Bey Show'' is a syndicated American talk show hosted by Richard Bey which aired from September 28, 1992 (although the show originally started off as a combination of ''People are Talking'' 982 - 1989 an NBC/ Chris-Craft/Fox station staple of which Bey was the host, and '' 9 Broadcast Plaza'' 987 - 1992 which Bey hosted in 1989, after Matt Lauer; hence, it really started on the premiere dates of those shows, though it's unclear when exactly) to December 27, 1996. The program was originally produced from and aired on WWOR, from 1992 to late 1996. It was nationally syndicated by All American Television from January 2, 1995 to December 27, 1996 (almost exclusively on UPN stations, due to Chris-Craft Television being the show's distributor). Richard Bey
Richard Wayne Bey (born July 22, 1951) is an American talk show host. He was popular in the 1990s as host of ''The Richard Bey Show'', a daytime talk show containing ordinary people's personal stories incorporated into entertaining competitive games. The show was one of the first to pioneer the controversial genre of trash TV, and contained the hard R-rated content that would typify the genre. Early years Bey was born in Far Rockaway, Queens, New York, to a Jewish father and an Irish Catholic mother and attended Far Rockaway High School. He is an alumnus of the University of California, Santa Barbara and the Yale School of Drama. Morton Downey Jr. (December 9, 1932 – March 12, 2001), born Sean Morton Downey, was an American television talk show host and actor who pioneered the "trash TV" format in the late 1980s on his program '' The Morton Downey Jr. Show''. Early life Downey's roots were in show business; his father, Morton Downey, was a popular singer, and his mother, Barbara Bennett, was a stage and film actress and singer and dancer. His aunts included Hollywood film stars Constance and Joan Bennett, and his maternal grandfather was matinée idol Richard Bennett. Gerald Norman Springer (February 13, 1944 – April 27, 2023) was a British-American broadcaster, journalist, actor, lawyer, and politician.
