''The Rest Is History'' is American rapper Jin's debut studio album. It was released on October 19, 2004 by Ruff Ryders and Virgin Records. Background Originally titled ''Almost Famous'', the album was delayed for over a year. Originally slated for a Summer 2003 release it was pushed back to an October 2003 date. After plans did not materialize due to disputes with Virgin Records, the album's release date was pushed back once more to March 23, 2004. However, the release date got pushed back twice more, to August 24, 2004, until it finally arrived, with a completely new title, on October 19, 2004. During the year-long delay, Jin released the two mixtapes called ''History in the Making'' and ''Definition of History''. After the album was released Jin released the last in the History mixtape series ''Lost History''. ''The Rest Is History'' is a history podcast hosted by historian and author Dominic Sandbrook and popular historian Tom Holland. The podcast was launched in November 2020 and is produced by Goalhanger Podcasts. It is the highest-ranked UK history podcast on Spotify and Apple, and in the top 10 in the US charts. By June 2023 it had issued 409 episodes and had a rating of 9.7 on IMDb. In October 2024, ''The Wall Street Journal'' revealed the podcast achieved 11 million downloads a month, 1.2 million monthly YouTube views and had over 45,000 paying subscribers; 7 out of 10 listeners were aged under 40. It was estimated that Holland and Sandbrook each earned nearly $100,000 a month. The series received the 2023 President's Medal from the British Academy, the first time this had been awarded to a podcast. ''The Rest Is History'' is the second studio album by British pop duo Same Difference. The album was released on 7 February 2011. The first single from the album, "Shine On Forever (Photo Frame)", was released in August 2010, hitting the top ten in the UK Dance Chart, and peaking at #100 on the UK Singles Chart. In January 2011, an album megamix was released to fans who signed up to Same Difference's mailing list.
