The Ratbites From Hell
The Ratbites From Hell were a West Country rock band active between 1972 and 1975, many of whose members subsequently played in key bands of the later 70's, as punk and new wave revived the London and New York music scenes. The basic Ratbites line-up was Huw Gower and John Perry on guitar/vocals, Roy Sundholm on bass/vocals, Nick Howell and/or Alan Platt on drums, 'Big' Pete Thorpe on vocals and Pete Biles on congas, 1972–75 When the psychedelic band Magic Muscle split in January 1973, remaining members Huw Gower and Pete Biles recruited guitarist John Perry, bassist Roy Sundholm and drummer Nick Howell to fulfill existing MM gig commitments; their nascent band (Over The Hill)'s fourth member, singer/songwriter Pete Roe served out the remaining six months of his contract as a journalist with a national daily. Bristol
Bristol () is a city, ceremonial county and unitary authority in England. Stephen Alan Lillywhite, (born 15 March 1955) is a British record producer. Since he began his career in 1977, Lillywhite has been credited on over 500 records, and has collaborated with a variety of musicians including new wave acts XTC, Big Country, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Simple Minds, the Psychedelic Furs, Toyah, David Byrne, Talking Heads and Kirsty MacColl, as well as U2, the Rolling Stones, the Pogues, Blue October, Steel Pulse, the La's, Peter Gabriel, Morrissey, the Killers, Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Counting Crows and Joan Armatrading. Evan Griffith Dando (born March 4, 1967) is an American musician and frontman of the Lemonheads. He has also embarked on a solo career and collaborated on songs with various artists. In December 2015 Dando was inducted into the Boston Music Awards Hall of Fame. Robert Allen Palmer (19 January 1949 – 26 September 2003) was an English singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. Only Ones
The Only Ones were an English rock band formed in London in 1976, whose original band members are Peter Perrett, Alan Mair, John Perry and Mike Kellie, they first disbanded in 1982. They were associated with punk rock, yet straddled the musical territory in between punk, power pop and hard rock, with noticeable influences from psychedelia. The Only Ones reformed in 2007 after their biggest hit "Another Girl, Another Planet" experienced a resurgence of public interest. Alan Mair
Alan Mair is a Scottish musician, songwriter and record producer. Mair's music career spans more than 40 years. He came to prominence in the late 1970s as the co-founder and bass guitarist for the English rock band the Only Ones, co-producing their second studio album ''Even Serpents Shine'' and writing and singing "My Way Out of Here" for their third and final album ''Baby's Got a Gun''. They released a top 60 hit in 1992 with the single "Another Girl, Another Planet". The band has maintained a cult following throughout its existence. Mair began his solo career in 2014, while still a member of the Only Ones. Career Mair grew up in the Glasgow area.
