The Pulse (SiriusXM)
The Pulse is a Sirius XM Radio station that plays music from the 2010s to present-day on channel 5 and Dish Network channel 6005. Every half-hour The Pulse's Jim Ryan or Ron Ross reviews music news on tours, future albums, and other topics covered. The channel debuted on XM Satellite Radio channel 26 and DirecTV channel 818 on April 17, 2006 as Flight 26 in response to demands by former shareholder Clear Channel Communications (who owns the similarly formatted Mix on channel 22), and was programmed by New York City native Mike Abrams. XM agreed that Clear Channel Communications can add commercials to channels which it already provides programming to, such as KISS, Sunny, and Mix. In response, XM changed their slogan from "100% commercial-free music" to "the most commercial-free music channels on satellite radio". John Mayer
John Clayton Mayer ( ; born October 16, 1977) is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, but he left for Atlanta in 1997 with fellow guitarist Clay Cook, with whom he formed the short-lived rock duo Lo-Fi Masters. The Pulse (Sirius)
''The Pulse'' was a Sirius Satellite Radio channel that played music "from the '90s and Today" on Sirius Satellite Radio channel 9 and Dish Network channel 6012. The Pulse began on July 1, 2002 as part of the newly launched Sirius lineup, with the same music and format heard on the current Pulse. By November 4, 2002, when I-90 signed off the air, it became a 1990s and hot AC hybrid, even though it played 1990s urban music. Every half-hour, the old incarnation of The Pulse reviewed music news on tours, future albums, and other topics covered. As part of the merger between Sirius and XM Satellite Radio, and the subsequent reorganization of the services' respective channel lineups on November 12, 2008, the old Pulse was replaced by The 90s on 9, bringing a 1990s pop channel back to the Sirius lineup for the first time since I-90 had signed off. Top 20 On 20
Top 20 on 20 (or just 20 on 20) was a commercial-free, interactive hit music satellite radio station. It was on channel 3 (previously 20) on Sirius XM Radio. The channel played everything new from rock to rap, with the songs chosen by online votes to the XM website. One could also vote their favorite songs by calling the station number (866-553-2020), or text messaging, Sirius XM Love moved from Sirius 3, XM 23 and Dish Network 6003 to Sirius XM Radio 17 and Dish Network 6017 as part of the May 4 channel lineup. The channel was completely automated by listener voting with no DJ interruption. Former DJs on 20 on 20 include Priestly (evenings) and Michelle (PM drive); both were previously DJs on The 90s on 9 (Michelle was then known as "Girl 2.0"). Nickelback
Nickelback is a Canadian Rock music, rock band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, Hanna, Alberta. Counting Crows is an American rock band from the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
