The Priddle Concern
The Priddle Concern is a Canadian indie rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario by Bill Priddle. History Priddle formed The Priddle Concern in 2008 and began performing around Ontario. It was his first project after leaving Treble Charger in 2003. The band consists of Priddle on vocals and guitar, Mitch Bowden (formerly of Chore (band), Chore) on guitar, Scott Remila of Raising the Fawn on bass and Dave Dunham of Chore on drums. Priddle is also a supporting musician in Don Vail, a band fronted by Bowden. Sons Of Butcher (band)
Sons of Butcher is a Canadian rock band, actor, and animator consisting of three members, two of whom are brothers. Their music fuses vulgar absurdist comedy with rock music in a style that is described as "mock rock". Their band alter-egos are the focus of an animated television series developed by S&S Productions and aired on Canadian animation network Teletoon's late-night programming block The Detour On Teletoon. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. Raising The Fawn
Raising the Fawn is a Canadian indie rock band, with its roots in Toronto. The band is composed of John Crossingham (who is also a member of Broken Social Scene), Scott Remila and Dylan Green (who are both members of City and Colour). History Raising the Fawn was formed by Crossingham, in 1997 as a solo recording project, but soon was joined by Remilla. They released their self-titled first album in 2001. The group grew to four members with the addition of singer Julie Booth and drummer Jon Drew. The EP ''By the Warmth of Your Flame'' came out in 2003. 2004's ''The North Sea'', recorded two years earlier, contained lively, rhythmic arrangements. By the time it was released, Booth and Drew had left, and Green was the band's drummer. In 2006 the now three-member band released ''The Maginot Line''. Broken Social Scene is a Canadian indie rock band, a musical collective including as few as six and as many as nineteen members, formed by Kevin Drew (vocals, guitar) and Brendan Canning (vocals, bass) in 1999. Alongside Drew and Canning, the other core members of the band are Justin Peroff (drums), Andrew Whiteman (guitar) and Charles Spearin (guitar). Treble Charger is a Canadian rock band formed in 1992 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, consisting of vocalist and guitarist Greig Nori, vocalist and guitarist Bill Priddle, bassist Rosie Martin and drummer Richard Mulligan. They began with a melodic indie rock style but evolved into more of a pop punk band after signing to a major label in 1997. They disbanded in 2006 and reunited in 2012.
