The Postelles
The Postelles are four-piece rock band hailing from New York City. They formed at Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The band released their debut album, ''The Postelles'', on June 7, 2011. It was produced by Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes. The album was recorded at Quad Studios and Looking Glass Studios both in New York, and mixed by John O'Mahony in the Electric Lady Studios. The album was nominated for Best Rock/Hard Rock album in the Independent Music Awards. The band has played at Bonnaroo Music Festival, Lollapalooza, and Iceland Airwaves. They have toured with Kings of Leon, The Kooks, Vampire Weekend, Fun., Interpol and The Kills. Their second album, ''...And It Shook Me'' was released on April 23, 2013. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand in the early to mid-1980s. Bonnaroo (or Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival) is an American annual four-day music festival developed and founded by Superfly Presents and AC Entertainment. Bonnaroo has taken place at what is now Great Stage Park, a 700-acre (280 ha) farm in Manchester, Tennessee, since it was founded in 2002. The festival typically starts on the second Thursday in June and lasts four days. Musical acts begin on Wednesday evening and end on Sunday night. ''Raising Hope'' is an American television sitcom created by Greg Garcia that aired on Fox from September 21, 2010, to April 4, 2014. Following its first season, the show received two nominations at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards. Stephen Thomas Erlewine (; born June 18, 1973) is an American music critic and former senior editor for the online music database AllMusic. He is the author of multiple artist biographies and record reviews for AllMusic, as well as a freelance writer, occasionally contributing liner notes. Erlewine was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is a nephew of the former musician and AllMusic founder Michael Erlewine.
