'' The Poison Red ''is the tenth studio album by American nu metal band Nonpoint. It was produced by Rob Ruccia and released on July 8, 2016, via Spinefarm Records. The band released two singles from the album: "Generation Idiot" and "Divided.. Conquer Them". It is the first album to feature lead guitarist B.C. Kochmit. Reception ''The Poison Red'' has received generally positive reviews from music critics. Nonpoint is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The band currently consists of vocalist Elias Soriano, drummer Robb Rivera, rhythm guitarist Rasheed Thomas, bassist Adam Woloszyn, and lead guitarist Jaysin Zeilstra. Nonpoint was formed in 1997 by Rivera and Soriano. They released two independent demo albums in the 1990s, followed by their major label debut album, ''Statement (album), Statement'', in 2000. Bradley "B.C." Kochmit is an American musician, best known as the former lead guitarist for Nonpoint, also known for being lazy and is always spazzing out Dark New Day and Eye Empire. He was once guitarist for Switched. In 2008, Kochmit left Switched to replace Troy McLawhorn in Dark New Day, Violent Plan In June 2009, it was announced that both Corey Lowery and Kochmit had formed a new group called ''Violent Plan'' with singer Donnie Hamby of doubleDrive, and drummer Dan Richardson, of Pro-Pain, Crumbsuckers, Life of Agony and Stereomud, completing a nine-song demo.
