Louis Burstein (1878 – March 25, 1923), sometimes credited as Louis Burston, was a film producer. He co-founded Vim Comedy Company. He was born in Russia. He led Vim and King-Bee filming operations in Jacksonville, Florida. Burstein died on March 25, 1923. He had been driving a car and racing a Southern Pacific train near Pomona, California, when the road curved and the train struck his car. One of his passengers, Thomas Truxton Strain, died; the other, Grace A. Farr, was injured. Leo White (November 10, 1873 – September 20, 1948), was a German-born British-American film and stage actor who appeared as a character actor in many Charlie Chaplin films. Biography Born in Germany to Julius White and Ida Berg White, White grew up in England where he began his stage career. He was brought to the United States under the aegis of Daniel Frohman, a Broadway producer. He started his film career in 1911 and in 1913 moved to the Essanay Studios. In 1915, he began appearing in Chaplin's comedies and continued through Chaplin's Mutual Film comedies. His last appearance in a Chaplin film was a small role in '' The Great Dictator'', released in 1940. White also acted in and directed '' Triple Trouble'' (1918), Essanay's last Chaplin release. Aaron Crawford "Bud" Ross (November 8, 1868 – March 19, 1932) was an American actor, comedian, and screenwriter. Career Ross began his career in the 1880s, performing in musical comedies and vaudeville. In 1900 he starred in the Broadway musical '' Aunt Hannah'' at the Bijou Theatre; a work created by composer A. Baldwin Sloane, lyricist Clay M. Greene, and writer Matthew J. Royal. Ross made his screen debut in the silent film '' The Burglar's Dilemma'' (1912) and had supporting roles in W. C. Fields's first two films, '' Pool Sharks'' and '' His Lordship's Dilemma'' (both 1915). He also supported Cissy Fitzgerald and starred in many comedies himself. At Vim Comedy Company and King-Bee Films starting in 1917, Ross supported a young Oliver Hardy and Chaplin impersonator Billy West in several comedies.
