The Parody Album
''The Parody Album'' is the debut album by DJ Chris Moyles, host of '' The Chris Moyles Show'' on BBC Radio 1. It was released on 23 November 2009 and charted at number 17 in the UK Albums Chart and has since sold over 100,000 copies. The album has spawned an online game in which you have to collect lyric notes to complete Moyles' album. The game itself is a parody of Super Mario Bros. Recording The album was recorded at the Abbey Road Studios in London throughout September and October 2009, and features parodies made famous on Moyles' Radio 1 show, alongside original compositions and brand new parodies. The album features many members of '' The Chris Moyles Show'' team including Comedy Dave, Carrie Prideaux and Dominic Byrne. Christopher David Moyles (born 22 February 1974) is an English radio and television presenter, author and presenter of '' The Chris Moyles Show'' on Radio X. Previously he has presented '' The Chris Moyles Show'' on BBC Radio 1 from 2004 to 2012 and ''Chris Moyles' Quiz Night'' from 2009 to 2012 on Channel 4. Moyles has worked at various radio stations, including Radio Luxembourg (under the pseudonym Chris Holmes) and Capital FM. "Dance wiv Me" is a single by British rapper Dizzee Rascal, from his fourth studio album, '' Tongue n' Cheek''. It was released on 30 June 2008 and features guest vocals from British DJ Calvin Harris and British R&B singer Chrome. The extended mix of the song also appears on Harris' second studio album, '' Ready for the Weekend''. "Dance wiv Me" mixes Rascal's usual grime style with dance music from Harris and R&B from Chrome. Rascal and Harris recorded their respective verse and main hook parts separately, sending their parts back and forth over the phone, while Chrome recorded the pre hook/bridge vocals in the studio with Rascal. Kasabian (band)
Kasabian ( ) are an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997 by lead vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and occasional vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, guitarist Chris Karloff, and bassist Chris Edwards. Drummer Ian Matthews joined in 2004. Karloff left the band in 2006 and founded a new band called Black Onassis. Jay Mehler joined as touring lead guitarist in 2006, leaving for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye in 2013, to be replaced by Tim Carter, who later became a full-time band member in 2021. Meighan left the band in July 2020, with Pizzorno stepping up as full-time lead vocalist.
