The Origin was an American alternative/indie rock/power pop band formed in San Diego, California, in 1985. The classic line-up of the band consisted of Michael Andrews, Topper Rimel, Rony Abada, and Daniel Silverman. During the band's active years in the early nineties, they released two full-length albums and five singles, with two singles charting in the top 20 of the ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart. They broke up in 1993. Thorn EMI was a major British company involved in consumer electronics, music, defence and retail. Created when Thorn Electrical Industries merged with EMI in October 1979, it was listed on the London Stock Exchange and was once a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. Toad The Wet Sprocket
Toad the Wet Sprocket is an American alternative rock band formed in Santa Barbara, California, in 1986. The band at the time consisted of vocalist/guitarist Glen Phillips, guitarist Todd Nichols, bassist Dean Dinning, and drummer Randy Guss, who stopped touring in 2017 and left the band in 2020. Guss was replaced by drummer Josh Daubin, who supported them as their drummer on tours from 2017 through 2022 and also played drums on their 2021 album "Starting Now". Most recently, Carl Thomson took Daubin's place and has been drumming for Toad the Wet Sprocket on tour since 2023.
