Lizzie Armanto
Elizabeth Marika Armanto (born January 26, 1993) is an American-Finnish professional skateboarder. Early life and career Armanto was born to a Finnish father and an American mother. She holds dual citizenship in the United States and Finland. She is of Filipino descent through her maternal grandfather. Armanto grew up in Santa Monica, California. She started skating in 2007 with her younger brother and developed a love for skating bowls and vert. Armanto has won over 30 skateboarding awards. In 2010, 2011 and 2012, she placed first overall in the World Cup of Skateboarding points race. In 2013, Armanto won gold at the first ever Women's Skateboard Park event at X Games in Barcelona, Spain. She won the 2014 Van Doren Invitational in Huntington Beach, California. Michael Shawn Carroll (born August 24, 1975) is a professional skateboarder from Daly City, California, United States. He is the co-founder and vice-president of Girl Skateboards and the co-founder of Lakai Limited Footwear. He was also instrumental in the creation of the Chocolate Skateboards subdivision of Girl. Robert Lance Mountain (born June 13, 1964) is a professional skateboarder and artist who was one of the prominent skateboarders throughout the 1980s, primarily due to his involvement with the Bones Brigade. Skateboarding Growing up in Stillwater, Minnesota as a young skater, Hause used to ride the metro to get to the “Girls Skate Free” night at 3rd Lair Skatepark in Golden Valley, Minnesota, Golden Valley. Charles Michael "Bucky" Lasek ( ; born December 3, 1972) is an American professional skateboarder and rallycross driver. Career Professional skateboarding Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Lasek started skateboarding at the age of 12, shortly after his bike was stolen. After entering amateur contests, he was quickly noticed by Powell Peralta talent scouts in 1987. Powell sponsored Lasek, and he made his video debut in the fourth Bones Brigade video, ''Public Domain'' (1988). Lasek attained professional status with Powell in 1990, but by this time, skateboarding, and vert skateboarding (Lasek's discipline) in particular, began to lose popularity and his career waned.
