The New Transit Direction (TNTD) was an indie rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah, formed in 1999. The group released an EP called ''New Transit Direction'' in 2002, which was produced by J. Robbins. Following this the band played Warped Tour 2003 and signed a record deal with Some Records. The frequently played Kilby Court, an all-ages venue in Salt Lake City. Quicksand (band)
Quicksand is an American post-hardcore band from New York City, founded in 1990. Their debut self-titled EP was followed by two major-label albums, '' Slip'' (1993) and ''Manic Compression'' (1995). Quicksand's sound has been compared to that of post-hardcore bands Fugazi and Helmet. The band supported their releases with extensive touring but fell short of the mainstream success anticipated by their labels. These factors and internal stress led them to separate first in 1995 and again in 1999 following a failed year-and-a-half reunion. In June 2012, Quicksand reunited for a special one-night performance and since has been playing additional live shows. Branden Steineckert (born April 21, 1978) is an American musician. He is the drummer for the punk rock band Rancid and a founding member and previous drummer of the Used. Biography Steineckert is an avid soccer fan and supporter of Real Salt Lake, a Major League Soccer (MLS) club based in Sandy, Utah. He is a season ticket holder and writer of the official team chant 'Believe'. Branden was born in Pocatello, Idaho, and was raised in a Mormon family which moved more than twenty times during his youth. He picked up skateboarding at an early age because his friends skated. When Branden was 11 years old, his father, Neil Steineckert, died by suicide, so he picked up drumming as a way to release his anger and to relieve him of his troubles. Taking Back Sunday is an American rock band from Amityville, New York, formed by guitarist Eddie Reyes and bassist Jesse Lacey in late 1999. Jawbreaker is an American punk rock band that was initially active from 1986 to 1996, and reunited in 2017. The band is considered to be extremely influential to the 1990s emo and Punk rock, punk genre with their "poetic take on hardcore punk, hardcore."
