The Never Ending Illusion
''The Never Ending Illusion'' is the second studio album from Italian Progressive metal band Daedalus. Roland Grapow ( Helloween, Masterplan) mixed the recordings and Mark Wilkinson (Marillion, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest) drew the artwork. Some vocal sections in "Mare di Stelle" (the only track sung in Italian in this album) were recorded by Roberto Tiranti ( Labyrinth) and Alessandro Corvaglia. In this album some acoustic instruments were used, including double bass and French horn. Daedalus (band)
Daedalus is an Italian progressive metal band. Their music contains influences from different musical genres, among them rock, progressive rock, heavy metal, classical music, jazz, electronic music, ''ambient''. History Daedalus was born in Genoa (Italy) in 2000, as the result of a project started by Fabio Gremo. In October 2003 the Italian label New LM Records published the first album of the band, '' Leading Far from a Mistake''. Since 2004 the band had gigs in several Italian and foreign concert halls, also as opening act for well known metal bands like DGM, Daemonia (Claudio Simonetti), Twinspirits ( Daniele Liverani), Misfits and Extrema. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings.
