The Samoan Islands ( sm, Motu o Sāmoa) are an archipelago covering in the central South Pacific, forming part of Polynesia and of the wider region of Oceania. ''The Navigator'' is the sixth studio album by American indie rock band Hurray for the Riff Raff. It was released by ATO Records on March 10, 2017. The album was recorded in 2016 at Electric Lady Studios in New York City and Panoramic House in West Marin with producer Paul Butler, a member of the band The Bees. Background By the end of 2014, Hurray for the Riff Raff had managed to gain a wider audience following the successes of '' Small Town Heroes''. José María Padilla Requena (4 December 1955 – 18 October 2020) was a Spanish disc jockey and producer of ambient music, best known for his work as DJ in the Café del Mar bar on the island of Ibiza. Career Born in Barcelona, Spain, Padilla moved to Ibiza in 1975, taking up the DJ residency at Café del Mar in 1991. In 1994, he compiled the first ''Cafe del Mar'' album for the React label. The series is now in its 25th volume and has spun off several related compilations, as well as leading to the creation of the bar's own eponymous label. Padilla selected tracks for the first six, as well as the 20th-anniversary commemorative release. While several tracks of Padilla's appeared in his various compilations, it was not until 1998 that he released his first album, ''Souvenir'', on Mercury Records label. The design of the guitars in the AX Series is similar to that of the B.C. Rich Warlock. All of the AX guitars feature a string-thru body with a Tune-O-Matic Bridge. All of them also feature one volume and one tone control knob with a 3-way toggle with a pickup formation of H-H. The series began in 2003 with only the AX-350. In 2005, the AX-350 was discontinued and was replaced with the AX-400, AX-250, and the AX-50.
