The Motivation (movie)
''The Motivation'' is a 2013 documentary film that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. In the film, eight of the world's best pro-skateboarders prepare for the upcoming Street League Skateboarding Championship in New York City. Each equally talented, they all must overcome unique challenges - family pressures, injuries, money, fame and their own internal struggles - for a chance to win $200,000 and the title of best street-skateboarder in the world. The film received a limited theatrical release in the United States on June 30, 2013 and a VOD release on August 6, 2013. It topped the iTunes documentary charts for two weeks in a row upon release. Adam Bhala Lough
Adam Bhala Lough is an American film director, screenwriter, and documentary filmmaker from Fairfax, Virginia. Known for his dramas about subcultures and popular youth cultures, several of Lough's films have been selected as part of the Sundance Film Festival, and is the only filmmaker with a feature film and a documentary in the festival, as well as a screenplay selected for the annual Sundance Screenwriter's Lab. Bastien Salabanzi ( in Toulon, France) is a French professional skateboarder whose stance is regular. Skateboarding career Salabanzi started skateboarding when he was 9, and soon after gained his first sponsorship by the Skateshop of Toulon. He won his first contest at the age of 11 in Marseille, France.
