"The Man from MI.5" is an episode of '' Thunderbirds'', a British Supermarionation television series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson and filmed by their production company AP Films (APF) for ITC Entertainment. Written by Alan Fennell and directed by David Lane, it was first broadcast on 20 January 1966 on ATV Midlands as the 17th episode of Series One. It is the 20th episode in the official running order. Set in the 2060s, ''Thunderbirds'' follows the missions of International Rescue, a secret organisation that uses technologically-advanced rescue vehicles to save human life. ''Thunderbirds'' is a British science fiction television series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, filmed by their production company AP Films (APF) and distributed by ITC Entertainment. It was made between 1964 and 1966 using a form of electronic marionette puppetry (dubbed "Supermarionation") combined with scale model special effects sequences. Lady Penelope
Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward is a fictional character introduced in the British 1960s Supermarionation television series '' Thunderbirds'', which was produced by AP Films (APF) for ITC Entertainment. The character also appears in the film sequels '' Thunderbirds Are Go'' (1966) and '' Thunderbird 6'' (1968), the 2004 live-action film '' Thunderbirds'' and the CGI remake series '' Thunderbirds Are Go''. In the world of ''Thunderbirds'', Penelope is employed by the secret organisation International Rescue as its London field agent. FAB 1 is a pink, six-wheeled car seen in the 1960s British science-fiction television series '' Thunderbirds'', its three film adaptations and its reboot, '' Thunderbirds Are Go''. Depiction 1960s TV series and films In the original '' Thunderbirds'' (1965–66), as well as the feature films '' Thunderbirds Are Go'' (1966) and '' Thunderbird 6'' (1968), FAB 1 is depicted as a modified Rolls-Royce. Aloysius "Nosey" Parker is a fictional character introduced in the British 1960s Supermarionation television series '' Thunderbirds'', who also appears in the film sequels '' Thunderbirds Are Go'' (1966) and '' Thunderbird 6'' (1968) and the 2004 live-action adaptation '' Thunderbirds''. Produced by Century 21 Publications and published by City Magazines, it was a sister publication to ''TV Century 21''. Fleetway Publications was a magazine publishing company based in London. It was founded in 1959 when the Mirror Group acquired the Amalgamated Press, then based at Fleetway House, Farringdon Street, London. It was one of the companies that merged into the IPC group in 1963, and the Fleetway banner continued to be used until 1968 when all IPC's publications were reorganised into the unitary IPC Magazines. In 1987 IPC's comics line was sold to Robert Maxwell as Fleetway Publications. Jon Haward
Jon Haward (b. 1965 in Norwich, UK) is a British comics artist. He has illustrated '' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'', '' Judge Dredd'', '' Sinister Dexter'' and '' Biker Mice from Mars'', among others. Biography Haward was born in Norwich and, while at art college in Lowestoft, he sent out samples of his comics to publishers. Dez Skinn put him in touch with David Lloyd who provided advice on his art and he also met artist David Pugh, who would suggest him as a fill-in artist on ''Dan Dare'' where he started in 1990. He first got his break at '' 2000 AD'' in 1993 on a '' Judge Dredd'' story written by Garth Ennis.
