Oscar Zoroaster Phadrig Isaac Norman Henkle Emmannuel Ambroise Diggs, better known as the "Wizard of Oz" and, during his reign, as "Oz, the Great and Terrible", is a fictional character in the Land of Oz created by American author L. Frank Baum. The character was further popularized by a stage play and several films, including the 1939 MGM musical and the 2013 prequel adaptations. In his first appearance in Baum's 1900 book '' The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'', the Wizard rules the Land of Oz from his palace in the Emerald City. "The Man Behind the Curtain" is the seventh episode of the third season of the American Neo-Western television series '' Justified''. It is the 33rd overall episode of the series and was written by story editor Ryan Farley and directed by Peter Werner. It originally aired on FX on February 28, 2012. The series is based on Elmore Leonard's stories about the character Raylan Givens, particularly "Fire in the Hole", which serves as the basis for the episode. The series follows Raylan Givens, a tough deputy U.S. Marshal enforcing his own brand of justice.
