The Lost Files (Torchwood)
''The Lost Files'' is a series of three radio dramas released prior to the fourth series of ''Torchwood'', a British science fiction television television series, series which airs on the BBC. These dramas aired as BBC Radio 4's ''The Afternoon Play, Afternoon Play'' on the 11,12 and 13 July 2011 and feature the regular cast. Although broadcast to coincide with the airing of ''Torchwood: Miracle Day'', two of the episodes are set prior to the ''Torchwood: Children of Earth'' miniseries of 2009, as they include the character of Ianto Jones, who is killed off in the 2009 miniseries. The episode "The House of the Dead", however, is set right before "Children of Earth"'s epilogue. James Goss (producer)
James Goss (born 1974) is an English writer and producer, known both for his work in cult TV spin-off media, including tie-in novels and audio stories for ''Doctor Who'' and ''Torchwood'', and for his fictional works beyond established universes. ''Doctor Who'' Online content In 2000, Goss was made a BBC senior content producer and put in charge of the BBC's official ''Doctor Who'' website. Originally the site was part of the BBC's Cult TV website. Goss slowly expanded the content to include ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'', ''Farscape'', ''The Simpsons'', '' 24'' and ''Doctor Who''. ''The Afternoon Play'' is a British television anthology series, which consists of standalone contemporary dramas first shown during the daytime on BBC One. The first episode, entitled "Turkish Delight", aired on 27 January 2003. Since, a total of twenty-five episodes have been broadcast across five series. The last episode was broadcast on 26 January 2007. The series was nominated for a BAFTA award in 2005 for Best New Director for an episode directed by the actress Sarah Lancashire. ''Children of Earth'' is the banner title of the third and penultimate series of the British television science fiction programme ''Torchwood'', which broadcast for five episodes on BBC One from 6 to 10 July 2009.
