The Last Dodo
''The Last Dodo'' is a BBC Books original novel written by Jacqueline Rayner and based on the long running science fiction television series '' Doctor Who''. It features the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones. It was published on 19 April 2007, after the television debut of companion Martha Jones, alongside '' Sting of the Zygons'', and ''Wooden Heart''. Jacqueline Rayner
Jacqueline Rayner is a British author, best known for her work with the licensed fiction based on the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. Biography Her first professional writing credit came when she adapted Paul Cornell's Virgin New Adventure novel ''Oh No It Isn't!'' for the audio format, the first release by Big Finish. (The novel featured the character of Bernice Summerfield and was part of a spin-off series from ''Doctor Who''.) She went on to do five of the six Bernice Summerfield audio adaptations and further work for Big Finish before going to work for BBC Books on their ''Doctor Who'' lines. Dodo Chaplet
Dorothea "Dodo" Chaplet is a fictional character played by Jackie Lane in the long-running British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who''. An Earth teenager from the year 1966, she was a companion of the First Doctor and a regular in the programme in its third season, from February to July 1966. Only three of the serials in which Dodo appeared as a regular are complete in the BBC archive (''The Ark'', ''The Gunfighters'' and ''The War Machines''). Dodo's personality was an unsophisticated, bright and happy one. Lane's contract was not extended beyond episode two of ''The War Machines''. At Last The 1948 Show
''At Last the 1948 Show'' is a satirical television show made by David Frost's company, Paradine Productions (although it was not credited on the programmes), in association with Rediffusion London. Transmitted on Britain's ITV network in 1967, it brought Cambridge Footlights humour to a broader audience. The show starred Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Marty Feldman and Aimi MacDonald. Cleese and Brooke-Taylor were also the programme editors. The director was Ian Fordyce.
