''The Italian'' is the debut album by Italian baritone Patrizio Buanne. It was released in the United Kingdom on February 28, 2005, and the United States on March 7, 2006. The album is composed of romantic Italian tunes, influenced by the songs of Italian and Italian-American singers (such as Sergio Bruni and Frank Sinatra Francis Albert Sinatra (; December 12, 1915 – May 14, 1998) was an American singer and actor. Patrizio Franco Buanne (born 20 September 1978) is an Italian-Austrian baritone singer, songwriter, and producer. Biography Early life Patrizio Buanne was born in Vienna, Austria to Franco and Alina Buanne; he spent his childhood living and traveling between the two grand, historical and musical cities: Vienna, which is known as “The heart of Europe”; and: Naples, Italy, also known as the capital of the Mediterranean, which he claims that shaped his upbringing and personality. From an early age, a passion for languages grew on him. He studied Roman and Slavic languages at the University of Vienna and Rome. Franco Migliacci
Francesco "Franco" Migliacci (born 28 October 1930 in Mantua) is a lyricist, producer, and actor. Biography He studied in Florence where his family had settled, here he entered in a competition for young players, in which he won a stay of three days to Cinecittà and a modest role in a film by Nino Taranto. After this, he moved to Rome and the world of cinema where he worked in small parts in about 18 films. In 1958, with Domenico Modugno, Migliacci coauthored the song ''Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu'', aka '' Volare'', which has become one of the most well-known Italian songs in the world. Che Sarà
"Che sarà" (; "What twill be") is an Italian song, written by Jimmy Fontana (music) and Franco Migliacci (lyrics) for the 1971 Sanremo Music Festival. Up until that year, each song was interpreted by two artists or performers to showcase the songwriters craft rather than the singers interpretations. "Che sarà" was sung by José Feliciano and the Ricchi e Poveri group and came second to "Il cuore è uno zingaro". RCA's Italian producers saw the song and the festival as a way to bring José Feliciano, already an international star, to Italy, as he already knew Jimmy Fontana. Although Ricchi e Poveri was a new, young group, it was chosen to sing the second version after Gianni Morandi, a well known Italian singer and RCA artist, had declined to sing the song. Engelbert Humperdinck (singer)
Arnold George Dorsey (born 2 May 1936), known professionally as Engelbert Humperdinck, is an English pop singer who has been described as "one of the finest middle-of-the-road balladeers around". He achieved international prominence in 1967 with his recording of " Release Me". Starting as a performer under the name of Gerry Dorsey in the late 1950s, he later adopted the name of the German composer Engelbert Humperdinck as a stage name and found success after he partnered with manager Gordon Mills in 1965. His recordings of the ballads " Release Me" and " The Last Waltz" both topped the UK Singles Chart in 1967, selling more than a million copies each. Anna Identici (born 30 July 1947) is an Italian pop/folk singer and television personality. Life and career Born in Castelleone, Cremona, the daughter of an employee of the Ferrovie dello Stato, Identici started singing as a child, participating in a number of Festivals and talent shows. In 1964 she was entered into the competition at the Castrocaro Music Festival in which she reached the finals; the same year she made her television debut, as the assistant of Mike Bongiorno in the RAI variety show '' La fiera dei sogni''. Roberto Livraghi (born 18 March 1937) is an Italian composer and sport manager. Life and career Born in La Spezia, had his first success as a composer in 1958, with the Don Marino Barreto Jr.'s song "Maria". Mario Panzeri
Mario Panzeri (11 October 1911 – 19 May 1991) was an Italian lyricist and composer. He is well known for his composed songs that include "Maramao perché sei morto?" "Pippo non lo sa", " Lettera a Pinocchio", and "Grazie dei fior", which won the first edition of the Sanremo Music Festival in 1951. Panzeri was the composer of Sanremo Music Festival 1964 winning song " Non ho l'età". Life and career Born in Milan, Panzeri started his career as a revue actor and singer. Daniele Pace
Daniele Pace (20 April 1935 – 24 October 1985) was an Italian composer, lyricist and singer-songwriter. Life and career Born in Milan, Pace started his career as lead vocalist of the group I Marcellini. After a brief solo career as a singer-songwriter, in the early 1960s he was enrolled by CGD as a composer and lyricist, often teaming with Mario Panzeri. The duo had several hits, and some of their songs were covered in other languages and became international successes. In 1971 he co-founded the comedy music group Squallor, and in 1979 he recorded a solo album, ''Vitamina C''. Gianni Morandi (; born 11 December 1944) is an Italian pop singer, actor and entertainer. Early life Gian Luigi Morandi was born in a little village called Monghidoro on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. His father Renato was active within the Italian Communist Party and Gianni used to help him sell the party newspapers. At an early age Morandi worked as a shoe-shiner, cobbler and as a vendor of sweets in the village's only cinema.
