''The Infatuation Is Always There'' is the second album by Filipino band Typecast, but their first release on a major record label. It was released in August 2004 under EMI Records Philippines on audio compact disc and produced by Raimund Marasigan and Diego Castillo. A vinyl record version of this album will be available for the first time to commemorate the album's 20th anniversary. It will be released under Eikon Records. 2 versions of the vinyl record will be available by January 2025. 250 copies of 2-colored vinyl will be available on Eikon Records' Facebook page, and 100 copies of Opaque Purple will be available exclusively from the Ted Ellis Record store. Typecast (band)
Typecast is a Filipino emo band from the Philippines. Originally an underground act, they surfaced on the mainstream Philippine music scene, while managing to hold on to their underground roots. Career Laguna has been home to hardcore punk bands since the early 1990s. Brought up in a DIY community, the band came together in 1999, initially doing cover versions, after that they started doing their own songs. Post-hardcore
Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. Like the term " post-punk", the term "post-hardcore" has been applied to a broad constellation of groups. Initially taking inspiration from post-punk and noise rock, post-hardcore began in the 1980s with bands like Hüsker Dü and Minutemen. EMI Records (formerly EMI Records Ltd.) is a British multinational record label owned by Universal Music Group. Raimund Marasigan
Raimund Emmanuel Parcon Marasigan (born May 22, 1971) is a Filipino musician and record producer. He is best known as the drummer of the alternative rock band Eraserheads. Marasigan has been described as "the busiest man in the Pinoy music scene". Raised in Candelaria, Quezon, Marasigan attended University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, where he met Ely Buendia, who had posted an audition notice for a new band. Inviting his fellow freshmen Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro, they would later form Eraserheads. Their debut album '' Ultraelectromagneticpop!''
