"The Hunting Party" is the 36th episode of '' Lost''. It is the 11th episode of the second season. The episode was directed by Stephen Williams, and written by Elizabeth Sarnoff, and Christina M. Kim. It first aired on January 18, 2006, on ABC. The character of Jack Shephard is featured in the episode's flashbacks. Plot Flashbacks Jack Shephard and his father, Christian, discuss the effectiveness of surgery on an Italian man, Angelo Busoni, with a spinal tumor. Christian advises against the surgery. However, Angelo's daughter, Gabriela, tells Christian, "We didn't come for you." She and Angelo had read about the miraculous recovery of Sarah, Jack's wife, and hope that Jack can work another miracle. Jack agrees to operate, despite Christian's disapproval. Tom Friendly
Tom Friendly, often referred to as Tom, Mr. Friendly, or Zeke by Sawyer is a fictional character portrayed by M. C. Gainey on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) television series '' Lost''. The series follows the lives of around forty survivors from the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. The survivors find themselves on a mysterious tropical island, and interact with a group they dub the Others, who appear to have lived on the Island long before the crash. Tom is an influential member of the Others, introduced in the season one finale " Exodus: Part 2", where he kidnaps one of the survivors. Spinal tumors are neoplasms located in either the vertebral column or the spinal cord. There are three main types of spinal tumors classified based on their location: extradural and intradural (intradural-intramedullary and intradural-extramedullary). Jin-Soo Kwon
Jin-Soo Kwon, better known as "Jin," is a fictional character on the ABC television series '' Lost'' played by Daniel Dae Kim. Character biography Prior to the crash Jin-Soo Kwon was born on 27 November 1974 in Namhae, South Korea, to a poor fisherman and a prostitute, the latter of which abandoned Jin and his father during his infancy. Jin had since been told that his mother died when he was young. Even though he was not sure about being Jin's father, the fisherman raised Jin, knowing that no one else would. As an adult, Jin attempted to follow his dreams of owning his own restaurant and hotel, and applied for a job at Seoul Gateway Hotel. Claire Littleton is a fictional character played by Emilie de Ravin on the ABC drama television series '' Lost'', which chronicles the lives of the survivors of a plane crash in the South Pacific. Libby is a fictional character on the ABC drama television series '' Lost'', which chronicles the lives of over forty people after their plane crashes on a remote island somewhere in the South Pacific. She is played by American actress Cynthia Watros. The character is introduced as a member of the tail section survivors in the second season episode " Everybody Hates Hugo", together with Bernard, and she ends her role as a living character in the episode " ?". After one posthumous flashback appearance in the Season 2 finale “Live Together, Die Alone”, she makes three further non-standard appearances as an apparition and bardo-like entity. Charlie Hieronymous Pace is a fictional character on ABC's '' Lost'', a television series chronicling the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island. Hugo "Hurley" Reyes is a fictional character on the ABC television series '' Lost'', played by Jorge Garcia.
