''The Hit Factory: The Best of Stock Aitken Waterman Vol 2'' is a compilation album released in November 1988 by Fanfare Records and PWL Records. It is an album featuring hits produced by British production trio Stock Aitken Waterman, who were at their peak at the time of the album's release. Release The first compilation, '' The Hit Factory: The Best of Stock Aitken Waterman'', was issued by Stylus Records in 1987. The range of tracks on ''Volume 2'' includes four special 12" remixes, exclusive to the set, and also a previously unavailable track by American group Sequal. The album gained a platinum BPI Award and reached No. 16 in the UK Top 100 Albums Chart. When compilation albums were excluded from the main chart on January 14, 1989, the album crossed to the new UK Compilation Chart for the remainder of its run. Sinitta
Sinitta Malone known mononymously as Sinitta, is a British-American singer. She initially found commercial success in the mid-1980s with the single " So Macho" and had several other hits during the decade. In the 2000s, she became known for television appearances, including '' Loose Women'', '' The Xtra Factor'' and '' This Morning''. She took part in the ITV show '' I'm a Celebrity... Sinitta's mother is Miquel Brown, who was a popular Canadian disco-soul singer in the 1970s and 1980s and a member of the cast of ''Hair''. Sinitta's father's name is Anthony. Let's All Chant
"Let's All Chant" is a song written by American record producer and composer Michael Zager and Alvin Fields, and performed by the Michael Zager Band. It was based on an idea originally suggested by former A&M Records head of A&R Jerry Love after he visited clubs in New York and saw people endlessly chanting "Ooh-ah, Ooh-ah". Although Zager was first embarrassed when Love asked him to write a song using these chants, he accepted the proposal and later co-wrote "Let's All Chant" with Fields. The opening track and lead single from the group's eponymous LP, "Let's All Chant" was released as a single in December 1977, with the track "Love Express" as a B-side. An unexpected smash hit, the single reached number one on the disco chart and crossed over to the Soul Singles chart, where it peaked at number 15, and to the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, where it peaked at number 36. Steve Walsh (disc Jockey)
Steve Walsh (20 September 1958 – 3 July 1988) was a British disc jockey. Life and career Walsh began his radio career at the first soul music pirate radio station, Radio Invicta, alongside his friend Bob Tomalski. From there he moved on to JFM, a London soul pirate station. Walsh also guested on Dave Brown's soul show once a month on BBC Radio Medway, which later became BBC Radio Kent. He then decided that if he was to further his career he would have to be completely legal, and leave pirate radio. An opportunity came up at the new independent local radio station, County Sound in Guildford. He returned to London with the launch of Radio London's ''Soul Night Out''. At the same time he was approached by Capital Radio, having covered one Saturday on Greg Edwards's ''Soul Spectrum'' when Edwards was ill.
