The Growing Process is the second studio album by American rapper Dizzy Wright. It was released on May 26, 2015, by Funk Volume and Warner Records. The album features guest appearances from Big K.R.I.T., Tech N9ne, Hopsin, Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Jarren Benton, SwizZz, Berner, and Mod Sun, among others. The album peaked at number 47 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. Critical response Dylan Yates of ''The Metropolist'' wrote: "While no new topics are covered within Dizzy's latest offering, ''The Growing Process'' is a solid attempt on the Las Vegas rappers part to give props to the lyrical aesthetic of the genre. Dizzy Wright
La'Reonte Wright (born November 26, 1990), known professionally as Dizzy Wright, is an American rapper and record producer. In December 2011, Wright signed to rapper Hopsin's independent record label, Funk Volume. After signing, he released his debut studio album ''SmokeOut Conversations'' in April 2012. He followed that with ''The First Agreement'' in December of that year, and then a mixtape ''The Golden Age'' in August 2013. Following touring with Hopsin in early 2014, Dizzy Wright released '' State of Mind'', an EP that would peak at number 54 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Jarren Benton
Jarren Giovanni Benton (born October 26, 1981), is an American rapper from Decatur, Georgia. In early 2012, he signed to rapper Hopsin's independent record label Funk Volume and released a mixtape titled, ''Freebasing with Kevin Bacon'' in June 2012. A year later, on June 11, 2013, he released his debut studio album, ''My Grandma's Basement'', which received positive critical reviews and debuted at number 152 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. Funk Volume Albums
Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century. It de-emphasizes melody and chord progressions and focuses on a strong rhythmic groove of a bassline played by an electric bassist and a drum part played by a percussionist, often at slower tempos than other popular music. Steven Howse (born September 23, 1974), known professionally as Layzie Bone, is a rapper known primarily for being a member of the group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.
