''The Fundamentals'' is the eleventh studio album by American rapper Juvenile. The album was released on February 18, 2014, by Rap-A-Lot Records. Critical response ''The Fundamentals'' was met with mixed reviews from music critics. Steven Goldstein of HipHopDX gave the album two out of five stars, saying "Even with the new attention it’s receiving, ''The Fundamentals'' is forgettable at best." Juvenile (rapper)
Terius Gray (born March 26, 1975), better known by his stage name Juvenile, is an American rapper best known for his work with Birdman's Cash Money Records in the late 1990s and early 2000s, both solo and as a member of the label's then-flagship group, Hot Boys. Juvenile's career began in the early 1990s as a teenager with bounce music recordings that made him a local star. He released his debut album ''Being Myself'' in 1995. After signing to Cash Money, Juvenile released '' Solja Rags'' in 1997, which included the major local hit "Solja Rag". A year later, he released the multi-platinum '' 400 Degreez'', which included his first nationwide hits " Ha" and "Back That Azz Up" (featuring Mannie Fresh and Lil Wayne). Rap-A-Lot is a hip hop record label co-founded by James Prince and Cliff Blodget in 1986. Smoke-a-Lot Records is a subsidiary. Rap-A-Lot was first distributed by A&M Records with the release of Raheem's 1988 debut ''The Vigilante''. The label was distributed through the 1990s by EMI's Priority Records (1991–1994), Noo Trybe Records (1994-1998), and Virgin Records (1998–2002). In the 2000s, it was distributed by Asylum Records and then Fontana Distribution. On August 22, 2013, Rap-A-Lot announced a distribution deal with RED Distribution. Carl Edward "Chucky" Thompson Jr. (July 12, 1968 – August 9, 2021) was an American hip hop and R&B record producer. Biography Thompson was born in Washington, D.C., in 1968. He was a member of Bad Boy Entertainment's "Hitmen" team of in-house producers during the 1990s, and worked with Bad Boy mogul Sean Combs on material for artists such as The Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans. His productions included Mary J. Blige's ''My Life'', The Notorious B.I.G.'s ''Ready to Die'' and Faith Evans's ''Faith''. Thompson also produced for Nas ("One Mic"). He died of complications from COVID-19 at a hospital in Los Angeles, California, on August 9, 2021. Torence Ivy Hatch (born November 14, 1982), better known by his stage name Boosie BadAzz or simply Boosie (formerly Lil Boosie), is an American rapper. Hatch began rapping in the 1990s as a member of the hip hop collective Concentration Camp, eventually pursuing a solo career in 2000 with the release of his debut album ''Youngest of da Camp''. After leaving the label the following year, he signed with Pimp C's Trill Entertainment to release his second studio album, ''For My Thugz'' (2002). One of the most prominent figures of Southern hip hop, Hatch has gone on to release seven solo studio albums, as well as six collaborative albums and 42 mixtapes. In 2009, Hatch was sentenced to 4 years in prison on drug and gun charges. In 2010, he was indicted on first-degree murder charges, and was also sentenced to 10 years on multiple charges of drug possession with intent of distribution. ''XXL'' is an American hip hop magazine, published by Townsquare Media, founded in 1997. History In August 1997, Harris Publications released the first issue of ''XXL''. It featured rappers Jay-Z and Master P on a double cover. In December 2006, ''XXL'' took over the struggling hip-hop producer and DJ magazine '' Scratch'' (another publication owned by Harris Publications), re-branding it as ''XXL Presents Scratch Magazine''.
