The Foxymorons
The Foxymorons are a guitar pop musical duo from Mesquite, Texas, formed in 1994. The band consists of childhood friends David Dewese and Jerry James. History Dewese and James met at church camp when they were both in high school, and later pretended to be in a band called the "Foxymorons" later in their teenage years, although, at the time, they neither wrote songs nor played music. They later released a single that they mailed to radio stations, fanzines and distributors. Eventually, Mel Cheplowitz of American Pop Project Records asked if they wanted to release an album, and they agreed. The band released its debut album, ''Calcutta'', in 1999, to positive reviews, despite the fact that, at the time, the band had not played a live show. Mesquite, Texas
Mesquite is a suburban city located east of the city of Dallas, Texas, in the United States. Most of the city is located in Dallas County, though a small portion extends into Kaufman County. Heat stroke or heatstroke, also known as sun stroke, is a severe heat illness that results in a body temperature greater than , along with red skin, headache, dizziness, and confusion. South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987 and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year. Will Johnson (born March 23, 1971) is an American musician, singer-songwriter, author and painter who is the lead singer of the bands Centro-matic and South San Gabriel. Called "one of the most prolific artists in American indie rock", Johnson has also released solo records, and is a member of the bands Monsters of Folk, New Multitudes and Overseas, and has also performed as part of the Undertow Orchestra. Metacritic is a website that aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average).
